Forecast is windy and rainy in Evanston for Saturday, fun times

Submitted by iawolve on

The chance of rain has gone from 10% to 30% to 60% the last few days so it is likely to be wet out there so you can be cold and wet watching the game (the decision to buy tickets seemed so smart a few months ago). The x-factor will be if the prediction holds for 20+ mph winds which could really affect the passing game along with the rain. The coin flip could be huge since the winds are predicted to come from the south where the bleachers are relatively low on that side of the stadium. This may hinder someone badly in the final quarter. I mean, we wouldn't need any advantage in the fourth quarter since we will be winning by so much since the running game will be fixed, amirite???  ..... [insert Stewie Griffin slow "yeah"]

A few months/weeks ago my tickets seemed like a real cool investment.

Thank you for adding more fuel to the tire fire that is my fathers day present. If you are in Chicago feel free to come over and kick my dog while you are at it.

It will never be sunny for a Michigan game again. We've entered the dark ages. Honestly, I think Akron was the last game that wasn't some combination of rainy, overcast, or dark. Coincidence?

You know that ''We Ready'' song they've been playing before kickoff lately? They should make another version for Michigan:

Weeee fucccckkkkedddd

Weeee fucccckkkkedddd

Weeee real fuccckkkked

Thiiissss gameeeee

I have a feeling this is gonna be like the 1998 game. Dark, downpour and a mess of a shredded muddy field.

meh. Does not matter.

DG hasn't been right since Hoke pounded his chest after the ND win. Don't beleive me...Check the on field post game ABC interview. (Sorry no link provided) It has been down hill since then.

Al to Brady after checking the weather: "I think the weather really opens our power and unbalanced game". Brady responds: "I love it, Al".

According to the National Weather Service, they can expect wind gusts of up to 35 MPH in Evanston on Saturday night as well. That could make special teams an interesting experience if the punt or kick is either against the wind or trying to cut across its path. Of course, for those of us here in SE Michigan, that will be our weather about six hours later, so there is that.

We did air it out a decent bit against MSU even though it was against terrordefense and in soggy conditions so we might do it again here. However, Borges may be encourage my Northwestern's shaky performance and feel like he can manball it up instead. I predict a frustrating combination of both as usual

Everyone will EXPECT us to run on the first play of the game, so we'll pull our MSU gameplan out and PA it on the first play.  But THIS time, we'll get the touchdown.  Boom.  Seven points right off the bat.  I foresee no possible problems.

All of our Problems are over:

The rain will be no problem once we unveil Wishbone Formation on every play with Kerridge, Green, and Fitz or Rawls or Hayes. Boom!

The general rule is that rain takes away the passing game and turns the game into a battle of the trenches. Punting and running games will be critical.

. . . Oh crap

Borges probably had a wet dream over this weather.

Off tackle

Tackle over

Off tackle

Punt

And, after we really get Northwestern sold on our run with our -20 rushing yards, we'll break out that PA on 2nd & 12+.
