Football Season tickets are at 93,000; highest in a decade

Does that mean they won't be doing the Coke retail activation any longer?
It must be the Facebook ad campaign that did it.
because I know just enough marketing people to know that this is much closer to accurate than it should be.
I believe Rutgers has teamed up with Pepsi to sell tickets this fall. Something about Kendall Jenner handing out Rutgers tickets to cops. I would think that giving anyone a ticket for a Rutgers game would be a bad idea, but what do I know.
If been getting them off and on. Looks like I'll have to keep them for a while now. I got on the list again this year.
Looks like people back to trusting the product on the field again.
Thank you to Jim H. and Jim. H for that.
Yes indeed, and I will thank forever the two Jims for making this possible.
I do wonder, however, how low the season ticket number got - a specific number and year would be interesting to me, if only to fulfill morbid curiosity.
There's no way we'll ever know for sure. Dave Brandon and Lochdogg probably made damn sure the books showed record numbers of season tickets being sold.
We can probably guess, though...
downvotes is a mystery. Its UM related, maybe not amazing news, but informative. Jeez
Not really a mystery. There are many who give WD an automatic neg. Then there are others like me who usually give him upvotes because he's usually informative and I have a lot of the same perspectives as he does. But he'll always get his negs because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But when I do... I neg WD.
Welcome to the club. WD and few others are on auto neg from me.
...sure that answer is in one of WD's Super Guide - seriously.
But if we are at 93k, then why are they offering those mini-packs of tickets?
Because the mini-packs are the best way to make sure they sell tickets to the games nobody wants to buy. i.e., package them with more attractive tickets.
I wonder how many priority points are needed this year. I have a friend who got offered last year with 5.
it has ever been?
when do we expand the stadium again?
when do we re-name it
Bo's Big Harbaugh House
The real barometer is even-numbered years, when none of our rivals come to town. That's where we see what our floor for support is.
I think that when the did the schedules for the Big Ten as few years ago, the assumption was that MSU would receed to historical norm. Therefore, giving Michigan alternating years with either OSU or Penn State as a home game probably made sense.
But yeah, I also do recall the D. Brandon role in the whole thing too, so...
Anyway, maybe MSU's regression to its historical mean is now a reality.
I think you are giving the Big Ten more credit than it deserves. I suspect it just screwed up, and Brandon was asleep at the wheel when it happened. It actually inconveniences both Michigan and MSU,
failed to get this right. But my only point is that it would have been less of a big deal if MSU had regressed to the mean more rapidly and Penn State had not swooned.
MSU is always a big game for season ticketholders. It doesn't matter how good they are. Not having a rivalry game on the home schedule on even years is a problem.
...where's the threat?
with Nebraska, Penn State, and Wisconsin (how are we playing them 3 years in a row?). I doubt anyone gets rid of them next year especially with the 2019 home schedule.
I'm sorry, I don't know a whole lot about this topic. For that mean out of the total capacity of the stadium, 93,000 can potentially be season pass holders?
Michigan also expects about 21,000 student season tickets. Also highest since 2007.

Thanks to Dave and the Nard Dog.
Don't you mean Loch-dawg?
couldn't remember his real nickname and figured he wasn't worth the effort to look up.
Narduzzi is coming down from the press box for the 2nd half.
Holy crap, Coca-Cola consumption must be through the roof in Ann Arbor.
My favorite thing about this thread is how we can see a massive success in selling tickets and all agree to make fun of Dave Brandon and his team of "marketing geniuses".
Fuck those guys.
real WD or not. Dunno if I should believe OP or not
OP could give us a pic of his side tat. That would help.
Nobody wants to see that
Beat OSU!!!
Season tickets for over 20 years but this season could be my last one.
!?!? it's about time for your two-decade payoff!
What's your rationale? Just curious
Just tired of losing to OSU every season.
Yeah, I mean, we don't stand a chance any more. Remember how in November we got completely blown out on the road, by three points, in overtime, with a bunch of questionable calls?
Understandable, it's extremely frustrating and despite the optimism it's tough to see the end of the road, but nothing lasts forever and it'll feel awfully good to be there when the tide turns(or if not turns, at least rolls back).
Spot on. I got my "in jest" post in above, but MAN won't it be sweet when it all comes together in the next few years.
Being a part of that as a fan is going to be really enjoyable.
you can tell the age of most of the people who post on this blog , by their level of frustration with recent results. go back and check a book with all of michigans past season results. you will find periods of domination by, purdue and minnesota over michigan. if you think this recent series with msu is bad try being a fan from1950-1970. michigan won 4 games!
i get osu and msu being excited over recent results. but ive lived long enough to have seen alot of streaks come and go. enjoy the ride, good and bad. 10 years from now osu and msu fans will be looking back and saying, remember how we used to kick michigans ass every year?
GTFO.
Door, ass, something something.
Good riddance. Plenty of other good fans to take your seats.

for your opinion, I'll simply say "hey, give them them to me plz."
I will buy yours, and so will hordes of my pals. Fuck OSU, we are coming back, you shouldn't miss it.
