IIRC from the Dave Brandon fiasco, doesn't the University charge a fee for FOIA replies? we should thank this reporter for his charitable contribution.

I think they should put out a roster. It's ridiculous that other teams have all of this information, yet Michigan refuses to do so. There is no competitive advantage, but Harbaugh only does this to avoid questions about who is no longer on the team.

If I was a Rutgers fan I would complain about silly shit that doesn't matter also. Anything to keep my mind off the fact that I am a fan of one of college footballs worst teams.

Funny thing about FOIA requests...they're only useful in obtaining documents that exist. If Michigan doesn't have an official 2017 football roster yet then there's no document to produce in response to the request.

Reading this piece, it's remarkable how seriously Ryan Dunleavy takes this issue. If he actually managed to obtain this document, his next piece would surely be about how he deserves a Pulitzer for forcing Harbaugh to release this roster. I would like to make Ryan Dunleavy's daydreams a reality. With our help, an "official" Michigan football roster, printed on appropriately heavy parchment-type paper (perhaps using ink made from delicately hand-crushing the raiment of the Royal Order of Hawthorne and Mitchell 78 times), could be delivered to Ryan Dunleavy's office (in the basement of Mom and Dad Dunleavy's Hackensack home). All would be right in his world.

took a visit to the rutgers site and i dont get the hate from those losers. they are not a rival of michigans, i  get they have got pounded two years in a row, although they hang on to that victory against hoke like  it was the greatest win ever. you can`t make one remark without getting banned from their board. and yet they can`t insult harbaugh enough.

why are they so concerned with what happens in ann arbor? i couldn`t tell you hardly anything about chris ash and yet they hang on every word and story on harbaugh.

Dear Rutgers Reporter,

Your team is bad and you should feel bad.  It wouldn't matter if Michigan ran a fullback dive for 75 plays in a row, you would still get your ass handed to you all the same.  It gives us a warm feeling that you care so much about what your opponent is doing, but I'd be willing to guess that in order to watch real football on the field you count on your opponents to show you this more than your own team.  We will release our roster when you decide to stop being so bad at football.

Regards,
