Yeah, because most high-level athletes are known to be the least proud and competitive people around. /s

This is just some next-level stupidity. If you believe that Harbaugh will be ready to go from a motivation standpoint, then you can absolutely believe that his players will be in the same place, or they wouldn't be on the field for a single snap. I cannot understand how you could believe that Harbaugh will play players who don't give a shit. It literally goes against every fiber of his being to half-ass anything. This is what makes him such an awesome coach and person. Enthusiasm unknown to mankind, not apathy unknown to mankind. But I suppose we will see in a few weeks...

The extra practices and extra game will be invaluable for the underclassmen. All we have to do on defense is bottle up Cook and they are toast. Wilton gets some time to heal, and they will all be looking to put an exclamation mark at the end of the season...

I wish we were actually playing a good team in the bowls.  FSU already got blown out by 42 this year (was really 52) and have the worst secondary in the country, every game of theirs i watched they had receivers deep with nobody within 30 yards on nearly every single pass play.

I've never seen worse coverage than FSU vs Ole Miss, every replay would be Chad Kelly completing a pass to one guy while completely missing that someone else was getting the gallon cloaking device treatment 30 yards behind the secondary.  Clemson wasnt much better.  And my point is after Louisville thrashed them anything short of a Rutgers like game will be disappointing, and thats rather unlikely, god forbid if we lose.  I would have much rather faced USC in the rose bowl because  they're actually good and we'd have a good shot of winning a rose bowl for once or beating up on an SEC team because screw the SEC.

Fuck FSU and their corruption.  Hope we beat the living shit out of them and prove that Michigan is worthy of being a playoff team.

Funny how Cowards always delete their tweets.

Seminole offense what he could have done to them with a defense he never had a B.C. Yeah, I agree the stars are aligned alright. Coach Brown is going to get his game in the Orange Bowl no less against the Seminols, with his defense against the team he created it for.

I don't care what anyone thinks, Keith Jackson would call this Orange Bowl a "DANDY".

I asked Devin Gardner what they thought about the sattelite camps, and they said, "Oh man, i wish we could have done that for spring break, instead of sitting around home doing very little. Harbaugh's really  smart doing that stuff."

I've always wanted to meet Devin. He just seemed like such a genuinely nice dude, and really carried himself with a lot of character. He seemed like an awesome ambassador for our program, even though the on field results were dissapointing (not on him... Purely coaching issues IMO). Do you know him? Can you confirm this for me? Sorry, not trying to get weird about him on the internet with a stranger, just curious if my impression of him was actually true haha. Thanks for your input!

lol while I'm enjoying the exchange I do think there is some merit to what his dudeness is saying in that sometimes, historically speaking, we see teams that are "just out" lay an egg in bowl games. In fact this is what many on the FSU side say about their team under Jimbo. The rub on him is if the team is out of the mix they don't play inspired.

In fact watching some of the interviews with former tosu and UM players from the '06 team you even get that sort of vibe after "THE GAME" ended and both teams got their asses handed to them. Sure maybe USC was just better but when you see those guys interviewed it really soudns liek they didn't give two shits about being there.

Harbough though....that man seems to compete for everything all the time and I think his team has that attitude also.

"didn't give two shits about being there" was a recurring issue for old school Michigan ... Bo and Lloyd both tended to view the Bowl as a 'reward' moreso than "The Be All and End All."

I don't think Harbaugh shares that view.  I therefore don't expect we are at risk of the non-chalance of yore.

With respect to '06 in particular, OSU faced a bad matchup vs UF, and then Troy Smith played like 15 lbs overweight off the Heisman, etc post-season awards circuit.  He was a fat blob in that game, and played right into the hands of UF's d-line.

In our Rose Bowl, that was the infamous "Andy Moeller lets his o-linemen be chainsmokers" mess. USC's d-line ran circles around our tubby, immobile guys who were gasping for breath before halftime.  Though the score was still close at that point, it was obvious we were going to get run into the ground.  Then Carroll opened the 2nd half with like 17 straight passes at Morgan Trent and that was all she wrote....
