First year coaches in The Game (chart? chart.)
I had a little extra time on my hands today and made a (probably rather crude) chart? chart.
Some interesting things:
- Michigan is 22-7-5 in first year contests (Yost is double counted, and counting DNP as a tie for this purpose).
- Michigan has outscored OSU 702-342, albeit heavily aided by a carousal in OSU's early days going up against an up and running M program.
Make of this what you will, or nothing at all. Cheers.

All of those games you mentioned, the team that didn't win the previous year's MNC won that match up a year later.
