Fire RR now or else

Submitted by MichiganManFro… on

The Spread at its peek doesn't really win. We should get a coach that runs the Pro-style offense. The spread offense is for teams that don't get top talent. Michigan gets top talent. I like the fact that we have a lot of players in the NFL.

Michigan is no longer going to have as many QB's and Offensive linemen in the NFL. The spread is a chicken shit offense.

I thought Michigan was suppose to be the best. So lets run the offense that has produced great NFL talent. If we made an all Michigan team in the NFL. We would have probably one of the best teams in the league. If you look at every position we pretty much have a pretty good player at that spot.

But a lot of you people want to keep RR? Why? If we do we will have less talent in the NFL and Michiagn won't be a dominant force in College.

Michiagn fans have to accept that we made a mistake and we need to fire him now.

Also i would like to say that Steve Breaston is Sick!

Well this post was so intellectually stimulating, I want to thank you for posting it twice.  I'm glad that you've been able to pass judgment on RichRod after 6 games...clearly more than enough time to evaluate how he performs with experienced players that fit his system.

would you rather listen to michigan alums in the nfl saying on national television what high school they went to or win college national championships? the only team that can run a pro offense and be elite is USC. we will never have the type of talent/depth that they have. they might not either, once UCLA and Cal give them some competition.

The only Michigan alums currently having lots of success in the NFL play defense anyways. You wanna mention Breaston? He was useless on Michigan's team because we didn't run the spread.

The facts support the fact that spread = points in college. RR is the best at it. He just has a terrible OL and QB.

Yeah I agree. I really enjoyed having a pro style offense and getting our ass kicked by Ohio State the last couple of years and by USC in the Rose Bowl.

I agree with this point: "The spread offense is for teams that do not get top talent."  Like Florida.

Since Urban Meyer came to Florida and instituted the spread, how has their recruiting gone?  Have they had any team success on the field?  Have any of the players than Urban Meyer recruited won any prestigious individual awards?  Just curious.

Or we could be satisfied with sticking with the pro-syle offense and going 8-4 every year.

how the hell can you claim that this is a chicken shit offense when the best coach in u of m history ran this type of offense? if this is such a bad system, how did rich rod take sucky west virginia and transform them to one of the elite football teams in the nation?? we might not have as many QBs in the pros, but offensive linemen? come on, if anything the spread improves the offensive lines skill, makes them move more, and makes them better football players because of the complex schemes that it runs....this is just stupid, theres no way you fire a coach with his kind of credentials after 6 games....when he gets his recruits in here i want to see teh look on your face when michigan is again at the top of the rankings BECAUSE of the spread offense

someone else posted on here that like 9 of the top 10 offenses in the nation run the spread....now tell me how that doesnt win games? if anything its cuz of the defense, which has nothing to do with the spread offense...dumbass

Somebody who knows more about the technical side of football can correct me, but I believe that almost every spread team uses similar tactics as RR when they run the ball. The difference is in the way RR throws the ball. And I believe whenever we get a competent passer, we will see that he will throw the ball like other spread teams.

Last year, with 3 first-round NFL draft picks (including the #1 overall), we lost to App State.  Sh!t happens.  This is a transition year - deal with it.

You also need to work on your grammatical errors.

Furthermore, stop your roster analysis, because you are terribly incompetent at it. We do not "pretty much have a pretty good player" at each spot. We have NO competent QB and our offensive line has little talent and not experience.

Sadly, I am wasting binary code in my attempt to refute your inanity.

Go away.

If I am not mistaken, didn't our offense have its best game last year against Florida in the Capital One game.  And if I am not mistaken weren't we running the Spread for most of that game?  Besides its not RR fault we let a guy catch 20 damn passes!

By the way, this guy is a troll.

-Generic "UM Fan from (insert big city name here)"

-Makes painfully stupid argument about topics that only piss off other fans. Like "I like UM players in the pros, even if we lose in games"
