Favorite Basketball Hype Videos?
Since we're now a basketball school, and the season is just a few short days away, I thought we should go ahead and get hyped for the season.
My favorite video is Luke D'Mello's hype video for the 2013 national championship game. Bittersweet for obvious reasons, but this video and music is amazing and it always gives me chills.
This one is by 34GOBLUE34, it seems like less of a "hype" video and more of a recap set to music, but it's still really well put together and totally awesome.

Michigan will never be a basketball school. They may be a football school with a good basketball team and a crappy football team but don't kid yourself.

Madness is my favorite. This is my second favorite. It's from 2011 though so minus all the Stauskas, GRIII, Burke stuff. But it features Novak and DMo. What I love about this one is the editing and flashbacks between the Fab Five and the 2011 Michigan team. It was the first time I felt like our team had broken through. Towards the end when they show Selection Sunday and the raucous crowd in Crisler in the early 90s it gets me pumped every time.

If you don't care to watch the whole thing, at least go to 5:30 for the aneurism of leadership, GTF off my floor, and magical 2nd half B1G run to the first NCAA tourney in 15 years.

Am I the only one who just can't get into these "hype video" deals? I guess I just don't get the point. I'm going to watch Michigan Basketball anyway...

It could be due to over exposre to Football Hype videos that have given many of us false hope over several seasons. The beauty of college basketball is that a team can have a mediocre season but find its way into the tourney where it's a whole new ballgame for them. So here's hoping that the bball team does well and starts to get really hot towards Feb and into March.

I likem all. Can't wait for basketball to start. There will be a lot of exciting and trying moments this year with some growing pains. But it's going to fun to watch this new team see if they can start their own journey on the road to the Final Four.
Whether Michigan is or isn't a football school, it's now a power in college basketball. And that ain't up for debate.
