Dude, I know farts aren't pleasant, but that cop should get made fun of by all his fellow officers for making that charge. Drunk driving is no joke and the accused shouldn't be so stupid as to fart on a police officer, but come on.

in some jurisdictions, any offensive touching can constitute battery. given a bad enough fart - perhaps a rotten egg-smelling one, the assault on one's nasal and sinus passages may be sufficient to meet this barrier
