Two things...
One, I agree with those who were offering props to David Long for keeping his plans to himself before the Peach Bowl, for playing in the game and for playing hard every time he put on a Michigan uniform.
The second thing is that I won’t join with others saying that they look forward to seeing Long “at the next level.” I am positive that I won’t be seeing Long on Sundays, or Monday nights or Thursday nights or whenever, because I haven’t watched professional football for decades. And as much as I like Long and appreciated him as a player, I just don’t have any interest in professional football. So to me he’s done, and gone. I’d be far more interested in his future if he had gotten into Michigan’s law school or Stanford’s Business School or Northwestern’s Medill School.
