Everyone ok in STORM 2012?
On a more serious note, I hope your employer didn't make you deliver pizzas during the storm.

M lacrosse coach John Paul tweeted that assistant coach Ken Broschart's house was hit by the tornado but that he and his family are ok.

Not sure how to embed a video, but this link shows a video of the worst damage in Dexter. A few houses were torn apart pretty bad and one was completely leveled... For this to happen in Michigan is crazy...http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fflwf7sfDcM#!

About 50 homes very badly damaged from Hudson Mills to the city of Dexter. No injuries fortunately but the town that gave UM Jennie Ritter is a mess.

right after explaining that our unexpectedly gloomy day was due to a "back-door" front coming from the East rather than the West as is customary. I guess this was a good day for the fronts to reverse on us so we only got gloom. Thanks for keeping us outlanders aware of what's going on out there.
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your home. At least you and the wife were safe with the pets. Hope everything works out for the best for everyone! I'll be keeping the city in my prayers.
In Grand Haven in was almost beach weather today 65 and partly sunny, crazy how this storm worked out.

Fortunately, homeowner's insurance. They'll fix you up right.

So glad to know you escaped with your health intact and that you heeded warnings (or your gut instinct) to run for the basement. Best wishes in the coming months as you regroup and move forward.
I live in Dexter and no, we didnt come unscathed. Lots of family friends lost their homes. We had minimal damage compared to them, but it was a really rough day to say the least.
that was the worst storm I've ever seen. We had a funnel cloud pass over our neighborhood in Lodi Township which may have been the Dexter tornado. On top of that, a driving, hail storm with quarter sized hail and deluge of rain that lasted the better part of an hour. And don't get me started on the thunder and lightning. Fortunately, I grabbed my dog and ran into the basement when the storm hit (the cats were on their own as I couldn't find them). Can't wait until May when the Big Storms usually hit!

Holy crap, I can't believe someone was driving home in that! That woman is lucky to be alive.

Yeah for sure. I think a lot of mothers would have done the same thing though.

This is all terrible. It's right by where the Michigan Sailing team practices, luckily they all got off the water and home before it got bad.
I was sitting in a bar in downtown Detroit, and we didn't even get a drop of rain. It all moved its way around us. Amazing. The radar looked scary as it approached, and I was expecting (hoping) to get stuck in the bar a little longer.

Worst. Flight. Ever.
I was second guessing even getting on the plane in Charlotte to come home knowing full-well of the storms. After a slight delay, we took off and fought our way in with heavy turbulence and lightning zapping all around us. Not fun at all.
I have a video I shot out the window if someone want to show me how to upload it.
