When you play Ohio State, they are going to score points.  Your offense has to be able to keep pace.

You are not going to win a 1970's Bo and Woody 10-7 game against them any more.

So, since we have to play Ohio State . . . /checks calendar . . . oh, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING YEAR, we need to have an offensive scheme that can keep up.

They are not going to cooperate and just shut themselves down for 3 quarters so that you inflict scoreless "body blows" so that you can win the 4th quarter.

Surprised by the INT. OSU pass defense is like 86th rated. A team that can throw well would tear this defense apart. I think OU would put 70 points on the OSU defense.

Oh look an INT!

Seems there are other good DCs out there, not just Don Brown.

This is not a knock on Brown.  The problem with Michigan in recent years is that they start to believe their own hype when things start going well, and then derp vs. Iowa, MSU and especially OSU.

Michigan's staff has to prepare better for big games.  Not make play calls which are scared and based in fear.  That conservative, fearful attitude makes the team play tentative and scared vs. good opponents.

Agree.  Our coaches are all about their dogma.  The current dogma is fundamentally better than the last couple regimes. But like all dogmatic fanatics, changing on the fly is not a strength.

Meanwhile NW looks way less outclassed with way less talent. WTF

How were we so bad last week? Only explanation is that OSU magically chose not to suck for one game at the same time we chose to suck ass for one game.  So strange watching this.

So what bowl do we go to if northwestern wins this game? R we for sure in a NY6 bowl regardless?

wow, a zone defense is slowing down Ohio states offense? who would've thought? pretty sad the average fan can figure that out but our defensive coordinator was too stubborn to adjust

We could have totally carved this OSU defense up through the air if we were not so damn stubborn.

We actually did do it eventually, but by then it was too late.  We did not keep pace when we needed to and keep the pressure on them.

Oklahoma would kill Ohio State.
