Herman, through a spokesman, said the report was "absolutely untrue" and denied his wife, Michelle, contracted McMurphy either.

"Neither I, nor anybody in my family, has ever communicated with Brett McMurphy about the situation at Ohio State," Tom Herman said.

McMurphy also tweeted a denial that Tom Herman was a source in his reporting.

Herman did acknowledge that in March 2017 his wife offered Courtney Smith financial assistance but added they had "not provided any financial assistance since then."

Yes. My heart goes out to those 11 W posters. Honestly, this would be a crappy roller coaster to ride if it were us. I'd hope our tune would be different, but I also don't expect that we wouldn't be overrun with the same irrational crazy posters.

It probably wasn't him. It was probably....HIS EVIL TWIN BROTHER!!!

That twin brother also pushed Urban Meyer down an elevator shaft, while having an affair with Meyer's wife while she had amnesia and was recovering from her horse-jumping-related head injury.

But we'll hear more about this and much more next week on...."As the World Turns..."

All of this and nothing has changed for Meyer. He still tried to cover this. This is all useless.

ADDE12E2-CB11-4F75-92C6-1D2B0DEF0FC7.gifSo what’s the countdown on that “investigation” releasing the results that the “investigators” were excited to release before ever “investigating”?

I woke up this morning hoping for more posts/stories about Shea, Rashan, Winovich, DPJ - hell a story about Robbins' hang time would be even be welcome.  But the damn Herman shit is just adding to the Zach/Urban/Shelley cesspool.

Please, real football - come soon!

Not to mention that supposedly some of this information was coming from an ex-mother in-law and a mother who has a estranged relationship with her daughter.  What's next, claiming Courtney stole Zach's phone to type in the responses to strangling her?  The OSU fan base will never cease to shock me.  And I'm married to one!

She's attractive, has a good personality, and is a good mother, but yes, she is a Buckeye.  Given my name, i live in Ohio so basically your only option is an OSU fan.  I did meet her in Toledo, so my initial hope was possibly she was a Michigan fan, but no such luck :(  I live about 2 hours south now and every time we get a new neighbor that's not local, my first question is if they're an OSU or Michigan fan, but so far, no luck.  We just got new neighbors from California so I'm hopeful.

Way to go Ohio. Snook was getting plaudits for his investigative reporting skills until he broke today's big scoop with a source too far from the bridge of truth and reality.

So even though Urban lied to the press without correcting the record, which he then failed to do while issuing a statement for that purpose, insisting instead that he followed all legal protocols, and therefore lied again about what he knew and when he knew it, we get his backers filling the void with their own narrative of his alleged truth.

His supporters thus claimed he couldn't have lied because he was only responding to questions from Ohio State beat reporters and McMurphy, whose reporting was now unquestionably jeopardized because of  the changing status of Powell Police paperwork in the case.

And if not that, that he relied on limited witness information, even when he offered a panoply of emails suggesting he had at least gotten knowledge of Courtney Smith's allegations from the head coach's wife, along with doctored photos of any alleged abuse,

The cudgel of the latest reporting, of course, is that Courtney Smith has lied to every cop she ever called to report whatever prompted her case and that she sought to bring down The Ohio State and Urban Meyer with a vengeance.

We can thank the Snookster for gaslighting McMurphy on the Buckeye's version of the Urban and the restless, as their world turns. But don't fret, tomorrow, is afterall another day.

I'm curious about Snook's motivation to publish these conspiracy theories, and thus put his professional reputation on the line, these last couple of days.  Did he get word that it wasn't looking good for Meyer in the eyes of the investigative committee?

All these side stories might create a momentary distraction, but unfortunately for Urbz and his rabid supports nothing can explain why he did what he did, and why he didn't do what he didn't do.

While trying to defend Urbz by accusing Herman of fanning flames due to some sour grapes, yet another bigger issue has been exposed.  The OSU OC and his wife were so convinced and so concerned for Courtney Smith that they privately offered to help her.  Meanwhile the OSU HC and perhaps AD went the opposite direction and appear to have directed their energy to protecting the alleged abuser until that became public.

They say character is defined by what you do when nobody is looking. There is surely more to the story that we don't know, but regardless there is no explanation for why a HC seems to harbor an alleged abuser and only parts ways when exposed at Big10 medial days.  I could understand if they felt the claims had no merit, put a corrective plan in place, etc.  But in the absense of that it seemed like the reason Zach Smith got fired was because Urbz got caught harboring him.  In other words if he legitimately was innocent or simply not proven guilty beyond a shadow of doubt, why fire him after reports go public?  Was he cleared somehow or, if not, was he rehabilitated somehow?

As someone who runs a large organization, I can attest to the fact sensitive, personal decisions often can and should be made behind closed doors.  Good teams follow good leaders in those situations, because they trust their leader to make the right decision without spilling all the beans.

Urbz may have convinced himself he has done everything right per his contract, now that he has been suspended. But if so why did he blatantly lie about it at Big10 media days?  I don't see how OSU or any of its sane fans could ever trust him again, no matter how many times he wins in November.  And beyond that, will they ever trust him to represent the university?  Is his judgement good enough for the flagship public U in Ohio?
