ESPN Meyer interview

Can't get it to embed, if someone can help. He's just not good at apologizing, they should keep him away from cameras.

It's painful... But I recommend going to the 2:34 mark of the video. I honestly have no words.  I hope this portion of the interview gets picked up by the media about how disingenuous he is.

He just needs to stop acting like he's the spokesman for honesty and integrity. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing, except it's a really bad costume.

In addition to buying a conscience because, "I apologize for the perception", really? He should also consider a professional redecorator. At least that will distract people from his lack of humanity.

Assuming that interview was in Meyer's house. (These sorts of things usually are). Can the guy be any more dull or is it just Columbus/dullsville high fashion to have sparse 90's furniture and nothing to spark intellect, curiosity or motivation?

I hope he gets grilled about this for a long time.  Why did you delete text messages?  What exactly did you know?  How are we supposed to believe your wife didn't share the text messages with you?  Why did Zach Smith get fired the day that he did and not when he had been "arrested" again.  Why didn't Smith have to complete his rehab?  Do you think you should have been suspended?  Did Gene Smith screw up?  Should Zach have been arrested?  Do you believe Zach or Courtney?

When you hear Courtney Smith what comes to mind?

"An extremely difficult situation, a troubled marriage, a situation I wish I'd known more and I'd wish I'd done more" followed by fake, I don't know, smile?

First thing out of his mouth. Nothing about remorse, guilt, shame. Pretty much, ' I wish I'd never known of that girl, she caused me a lot of grief '

Oh it's beyond narcissism with this fuckhead. He is a real wack job. I don't understand how people can say Jim is crazy but this jackass will walk up and down the sideline almost actually ready to pull his hair out and beat red in the face like a lunatic but no one notices that. That just goes to show you. Most people watching those games are fucked in the head as well. Just the thought of those pathetic losers in ohio destroys whatever good state I was in mentally prior to it.

Take away "OSU" and just look at the facts, it's hard to imagine this whole situation NOT blowing up in their faces. But then remember that it's OSU and it's hard to imagine anything going wrong for them, ever.

F Urban and O$U.

He is scum, has always been scum, and will continue to be scum.

O$U is just a third rate school with a good football program. "I didn't come here to play school".

I won't even mention their cooler pooping offspring of incest (This is my wife AND my cousin) fanbase.

When ever I feel overwhelmed by my hate for O$U, I go watch the literally dozens of O$U supporters at the "Save Urban" rally. I always feel better after watching those idiots.

Why on earth would be do this? He should be fired for being remotely dumb enough to bring the story back. They just came off a big win and the story was almost gone. Sure, it would get brought up since he is back now, but all he had to say was that he is glad to be back with the team and he isn’t addressing it any more. Sitting down and lying even more I an ESPN interview is just insane at this point. He really is a psychopath.

Sociopath needs to keep in front of the story.

Need to keep the recruiting pipeline a flowing.

Parents will send their kids to him so they can go the the NFL

All quotes about "character" and "education" are BS.

College football is a business, and Saban and Meyer will get your kids paid - during and after college.

Accept it gents...it's simply a different era.

But he knows he can say whatever he wants at this point. The whole fanbase, the whole state, and even the governor have all openly backed him even after all of this came out.

The guy wins, and as long as he keeps doing that he’s going to get a pass on these PR fiascos. If this was happening under John Cooper it’d be a different story.

If this were happening while Cooper was our coach, this wouldn't be such a hot button topic for ichigan fans.  But since you can't beat Ohio St. now, it's front page material.  That is a fact you guys can't deny.  Urban's biggest mistake was not getting rid of Zach along time ago.  Nobody outside of that house really knows what happened behind closed doors.

You’re defending him because he wins. That’s all there is to it. If he were ever to start losing games, or if he started losing to Michigan, how long do you think it would really take for you all to start turning on him? A fanbase that has been spoiled rotten for 20 years and has known nothing but winning.

As long as your golden goose keeps winning football games and keeps beating Michigan, no one is going to rock the boat in Columbus.

Of course. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want Michigan to have even half the success OSU has had on the football field. But that’s not the point.

My point is that as long as he’s getting you all the results he’s getting, any collateral damage he causes along the way for OSU doesn’t appear to matter to anyone most anyone within your fanbase.

True...look what happened to Urban's mentor and Zack's grandpappy.

The Urban apologists are sickeningly hypocritical. This troll talks smack about Michigan fans just wanting Urban gone because he wins don't want to admit to themselves that they want to keep him for that same reason. The fact that he is a lying, cheating, disgusting human being means nothing to them.

O$U will get their just rewards soon. They've been on an historic run. It wont last forever. Then we will see how their enabling hypocritical fanbase reacts.

I was so annoyed last night when Fowler and Herbstreit were talking about how hard it was for Meyer to watch the game.  I kept waiting for Fowler to say, "He'd be here tonight if he didn't employ a wife beater."
