Eddie McDoom decommits from Oregon, will visit Michigan this coming weekend

This is according to 247. We are back in the running for best named recruit.

Also, Steve Wiltfong has ballz'd Kiante Enis to IU. This might be thread worthy but the board is probably ballz'd out for the day.

Edit: Ryan Bartow, one of 247's lead analysts, has ballz'd McDoom to Michigan. It appears that this is happening.

of UM coming out of a timeout or something real quick and running up to the line on first down. They line up with an empty backfield with all of these talented wide-recievers and do some double end around pass option deep. Showtime baby!

I'm really surprised to see Kiante Enis go...

Obviously I know nothing about the inner-workings of the team-building vision.

But his speed on his highlight reel is AMAZING.

Am I missing something here? Is it a school grades thing?

Derrick Green's highlight reel was something AMAZING too. So was Sam McGuffie's. Look how both fared while at Michigan.

And what did you think of Doom's lowlight reel? Oh, right. They don't make those. It is why coaches typically request full game footage to ascertain a player's full body of work.

My point is don't get so caught up with highlight reels. They are deceptive on purpose and never tell the whole story. There are so many new variables introduced to stud HS players when they enter college that some can't adjust or maintain the dominance they had in high screwl.

Enis is one of those guys who's fast in a straight line, but he's not a very natural football player. He's very stiff. And I was less impressed with the senior film I saw than I was with his junior film. He looked to me like a kid who wasn't going 100%. Which still made him better than the kids he was playing against, but he went down on contact way too easily and didn't fight for extra yardage. Maybe he could be a safety or wideout or something. But we were looking at him as a RB initially, and his lack of effort is something that we've seen send both Derrick Green and Ty Isaac to the nether regions of the depth chart under Harbaugh.

This class will be rated higher than that class.  I have changed my tune on this class, because i did not expect this much attrition from within the verbals.  Still not sure what to think of that either.  Ill form a better opinion once i know how/why these kids are decomitting.

McDoom's academics was the major concern for Oregon but that won't go public.

So what is being said is that Oregon will use the scholly on a defensive player.

This is why all the Florida schools have passed on him.

Kiante Enis played RB in HS.  Indiana can keep him at RB and could be a very good RB.

Enis could be a receiver or a safety too

I know that we will lose some guys but I hate to see some of them go. From what I hear, Kiante Enis was putting up record breaking numbers these past two years. Even though he goes to a smaller/less competitive school, there has to be some way to translate those numbers against better competition. Its hard to believe he wouldn't still be very good

I like the McDoom kid as well but I have to think that we have 4 receivers on board already and we are still looking at McDoom, Stewart, Young and possibly the kid from Brown from Texas. Of course all stars and talent have to be eveluated on a case by case basis. It may be that this years receivers crop is better than this years linebacker crop and the plan is get the best players you can. No sense in taking LB's that will never play when you can take recievers who will.

I think that some of the recievers will be converted to DB's and safety's  because there will be a void there come next year. I like the kid from Tennesse (Johnson) particularly after the catch. He has instincts for knowing when to make his cuts, then he blows thru holes as if he was playing by himself.  He bings a uique skill set to the team. although Crwford is a similar type slot guy who is probably more durable, Johnson has vision similar to Tayvon Austin which cant be taught. you have it or you dont.

Can we p[ease keep everybody!!!!!!

Record-breaking numbers do not translate to college success. Skyler Stoker holds the Michigan record for season touchdowns. Ever heard of him? Kevin Grady, Jr. had the most career touchdowns. He did nothing at Michigan. Jason Fracassa had over 10,000 passing yards during his career at Sterling Heights Stevenson. You know, the famous Jason Fracassa.
