in what was a clever parsing of words by the Big Guy.

Florida's defense must've been saving it all up for this game.
Which reminds me...it's been 72 hours since I've watched the Citrus Bowl, I'm due.
(No lie, I've watched the game over 7-8 times and it's not even February. And I don't mean that I had it on while I clean. I mean sit down and watch and critic every play like I've never seen it before).
Which reminds me...where's the effing UFR?

No excuses. Play like a champion.

Does anyone have a stream for this game? I have an NFL Network stream but its not showing the game. NFL.com requires a cable log on.

Reads play beautifully, gets out and gets into position. Over runs the play and misses the tackle.
Somewhere I've seen this before.

Already played some, got 3 points. Didn't get a second drive because the defense got a pick 6 and put the west back on the field for another drive.

They said no, because his hands are too small. But he'll play 20 years in the CFL per the announcers.

Vernon Adams is showing out. I want to see Rudock in again. They look like the only two competent QBs in this game.

- RGIII

Fuck health...just run the spread option and keep rolling the QBs through as they're getting injured. Not like any of these guys have any other choice. Just run your offense and keep replacing the QB that isn't going to hold up over the course of the entire season.
I'd love to see this, why? Just because.

lol talk about an overreaction.
He's playing against guys who would be lucky to even make a roster next year. And it's an all-star exhibition game.
I'm not going to call him better than guys who are currently in the league and on rosters. If he was THAT good, he wouldn't be in this game to begin with.
Don't get me wrong, he's not trash...but one awesome half in the East-West Shrine game doesn't all of a sudden make him an NFL QB.

In all seriousness though, I don't know why these awful franchises don't at least try this. What do they have to lose?
Why not take all the dual-threat QBs people don't want or are trying to force to be pocket passers and just run a college spread like Oregon. You'll be impossible to gameplan for and you'll have a pick of the litter for guys in your system.
You won't have any stability at the QB position, but so what...it's not like these awful franchises have franchise QBs, right? If they did, they wouldn't be awful. So who cares? Just run your system and give the NFL fits. When guys go down, just replace them with the next man up. There are certainly enough spread QBs to go around...stock pile them and keep it rolling.
I actually think this could work - not for a Super Bowl, but I think could could create a playoff level team doing this. It would be fun to watch. Because while everyone else is spending 1st rounders on Connor Cook and 4th round level talent. You'd be drafting defense knowing your QB is later in the draft. So you'd have this spread offense and a solid defense.
Especially someone in a dome or warm weather. (In case the Browns GM wants to take advice from us regular people again...)
Do it! Someone make this happen.

You could get all of those guys for cheap...and if it's not them, there are other guys. The rookie wage scale is extremely helpful for someone actually trying to pull this off and there are plenty of these guys who go undeafted altogether.
Kaep is under contract and the Browns and Skins are going to be giving their guys away. Dallas will likely take one of them, the 49ers could easily get the other.
The 6 I mentioned were a hypothetical. But every year you'd have options that other teams are trying to make WRs or RBs.
The point is there are so many teams running the system in high school and college, you have a natural feeder system since you're the ONLY team trying to do it in the NFL.
It actually makes sense when you think about it. It's worth a shot. At least you'd get fans to games and you'd be trying something new.
...or you could just be the team that signs Weeden and Matt Cassel level guys over and over. Because that always works out.
