Eastern Christian Academy Article

I know a lot of people have questioned Eastern Christian Academy (the school Canteen and Watson go to) so I thought this article would be of interest to many of you. The article discuss's how ECA was founded and why they split from Red Lion Christian Academy.

I find this whole thing pretty disgusting. This isn't to impugn Watson and Canteen specifically, but this sort of "education" is just something I have a moral problem with.

ECA had five games cancelled because they weren't yet sanctioned by the state - in other words the fellow that runs it did not bother to get academic accreditation in time. No actual teachers on staff.

Some kids do ok with online only education but most lack the motivation. An any kid with, say, a learning disability will be really screwed. I really question whether someone who finished at ECA would be ready for the UM.

It DOES sound forcier-like to me.

The SI article also lays out that many of these kids were products of failed schools throughout Delware - in other words, kids that DO need academic support.

I'm sure they'll qualify and stuff. I'm less concerned for Michigan's sake and more concerned that such a "school" exists.
