My eye is on BTN to see if MSU can keep it up or not.

Purdue up 14-0 (yeah it's Minnesota). They looked good beating NW away last week too. Do we have any sure wins coming up on our schedule? ugh We need that 6th win.

2 miserable seasons, mounting losses to rivals, lesser foes wielding slingshots, continued, relentless dong shots, badgers, brahs, buckeyes, haweyes all clamoring with speak of the demise of all that is maize and holy.. Well, our young defense reminds me of another lost cause so many years ago. As the battle of Bunker Hill proved to the world that the young, untested American Patriots were a lost cause that surely would give up and slink back to their farms, George Washington would not let the Pariots admit defeat. They pressed on. And today, under dire cicumstances no less important, so shall we press on. We shall press on with a belief. A belief that we will not waiver! A belief that our young Defense will improve! A belief that the greatest University the world has ever known will again strike fear into the souls of all that dare to question her greatness! Perhaps today, as we battle to fight off the doubts in our own minds, the words of Thomas Paine ring as appropiate as they did so many years ago...

"THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their University; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. This adversity, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value."

Today, let us not be denied.

How will Cousins possibly stay healthy this year??? All that staying in the pocket is sure to wear down on him. I seriously doubt his ability to stay healthy.

I don't even know if I'm being sarcastic.

Maybe I just can't admit that Illinois has a good D, but has MSU even faced  an average BCS D until now?  I think DRob's errors and our truly horrible D made Sparty look WAY better than they are.

Watching Illini you can see how SLOW we are D...look at Martez Wilson compared to Ezeh...it's light years apart at their foot speed.

Martin and Mouton have been the only 2 guys who have been for the most part consistent this year.

For as fast as are O is...the D is equally a slow.  if you really watch we have been in position to makes plays on D, but we just very slow in general or just dont have the football IQ to make the play quickly.

Also, I like Greg Jones....but man I see why the kid stayed in school, he is a mid 3rd rd at best  pick.

Sparty's going to get a late hit/hitting a defenseless player soon. They consistently fly in late and after the player is on the ground.
