Early Enrollees Numbers + A few changes

The change list is, believe it or not, something to watch. Last year some head scratching changes (Kekoa Crawford, for example) preceded transfers. All of the changes here are sensible.

One weird one this year is Myles Sims listed at 46, but i just chalked it as being a mistake. He was 6 last year. Something to keep an eye on though.
The Jake Perry confused me. I believe its Jalen

This is interesting. Remember that Crawford switched to 41 and Kareem Walker to 46, both before leaving the team.

Are you saying Joe Milton is transferring? Christian Turner got his number. Christian Turner will likely be the #1 RB.
Joe Milton was Pep Hamilton's personal big recruit. So with Pep Hamilton gone is he leaving too?

I think he was referring to guys who had single digits and had there number changed to something in the 40s. Crawford and Walker both transfered last year after having weird number changes.

Ah, ok.

Correct. Single digits or other significant numbers are not lightly thrown around. A QB changing from 3 to 5 is nothing (and I think the OP is right, Milton had that number before). But a guy switching from, say, 7 to 41 raises some eyebrows.
Milton is transferring to the XFL.
That might've made sense only if Joe Milton had changed his number to 30. Let's hope that no one hates Joe Milton.

Milton started as 5 last year before moving to 3 so that he and Wangler could be on the field together. His preferred number is 5.

Except for basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer, you’re basically right.
Small changes are no big deal (other than the players caring about them) but last year we saw some changes that definitely telegraphed departures.

Not to mention depth chart standings. Didn't Grant Perry get his number snatched by DPJ the second he stepped on campus?

College sports can be cold sometimes. But that's life.
Joe Milton having to give up his #3 to Christian Turner may not mean as much as Joe Milton will be transferring. But it does show that Joe Milton is not as important to the program as some think he is. And it also may be showing that Christian Turner may be more important to the program than some think he is. But maybe I'm reading too much into it. Maybe I'm not.
It’s not that. Milton wanted 5. He moved to 3 halfway through the year (I believe so he could be on the field at the same time as FB Jared Wangler). Now that the seasons over he got his number back.

Exactly
This has got to be a new Mineral King/ Ace Williams account. Looks like your goal this year is to spread Joe Milton transfer rumors like last year it was Brandon Peters.
Perry lost his number because he got into legal trouble.
Even more than other sports, in football since there are usually duplicates of numbers, sometimes it indicates which side of the ball they may be playing/position switches.

*Gil...and hopefully going to #8 makes him faster.

Speed in space. Five players wearing #3?
March 22nd, 2019 at 12:46 AM ^
It should...one less number to tote around.
LMAO. I immediately thought the same thing. Love Turner wearing #3 as well.

For the spell check police, I apologize lol. Didn’t notice the missing e in enrollees and Jalen Perry.

41 as a running back number is infinitely cooler than 3, Turner should've kept it
Especially at M.
Eh, The Great Rob Lytle.
+1 for a Rob Lytle mention.
March 22nd, 2019 at 10:58 AM ^
so glad people didn't dwell on such stupid shit back in the day. lytle started as number 25 only to give it up to huckelby. never a big story about lytle being forced out.
Has Christian Turner passed up the opportunity to make the Playboy All-American Team and meet Bob Hope?
Sadly, Bob Hope, like Keith Jackson, died recently so that can’t happen. Maybe that’s why he changed his number.
March 22nd, 2019 at 10:31 AM ^
Say it isn't so! Keith Jackson died??

Bob Hope died? Keith Jackson died?

I really thought Turner would keep 41. You'll see some younger guys from the south picking that number because of Alvin Kamara.
March 22nd, 2019 at 12:08 PM ^
Does that mean Christian Turner is done cosplaying Alvin Kamara?
Can someone update the depth chart by class?
