Dymonte Thomas Quote

Submitted by MichiganMan2424 on

Stolen from the FB group:

"They introduced me to some of the 2012 recruits, and some of the 2013 recruits, and also that QB who committed to us.......I mean to Michigan."

Quote from Dymonte Thomas discussing the BHBBQ on 1050AM WTKA radio.

I like what I hear.

ooooo yeaaahhh!  That says it all.  Anyone else getting confident that we'll snag Dunn?  I just don't see him going to Ohio anymore, it's just a matter of time.

Now that is exciting. Hopefully he gets the process over with soon, as having one of the top players in Michigan and Ohio tied up quickly would be a huge boost for the rest of class

Maybe I missed this somewhere else, but has Dymonte received his offer yet? Last I heard he was waiting on an offer to commit. And if he doesn't have it, when do you think he would eventually get that offer?

I live pretty close to where Dunn plays and the pressure he is under to stay in Ohio is tremendous.  They know they've lost basically all the top in-state kids except Dunn and they're turned up the heat on him to stay a Buckeye like you wouldnt believe.

My guess is that he'll go Blue.  On signing day and not a moment sooner so he doesnt have to put up with the insane Ohio "fans" for a minute longer than he has to once he breaks their collective hearts.

If I were in Dunn's shoes I'd rather switch now than later.

To switch last minute on NSD will only make things worse in the minds of the insane Ohio fans.  TSIO is probly gonna suck this year, probably lose to us, so the fans will be in meltdown mode to begin with....  then for Dunn to switch sides after all that, they will be absolutely livid.

On the other hand, if he does it now, it will be overshadowed by the pain of this coming season and he probably won't get as much of their wrath because they'll be thinking about more eminent pain, i.e. their descent into suckitude on the field.

Dymonte said he would commit right there when Dunn signs/commits/reaffirms, but only if its the RIGHT school. We know Michigan is Dymontes favorite and Kalis is working very hard on Dunn. I'm liking our chances regardless of love for TSIO.

I kinda think so.  Sam Webb made a pseudo freudian slip on today's wtka recruiting roundup (might of been 8/1) where he was emphatically saying Pipkins wasn't a silent commit.  But he slipped and said ,"Bri...Ondre is not a silent commit."  It might of been a wishful slip but it WAS a slip.  I'm feeling more confident by the minute, of course we're all bias but doesn't it make sense he goes to UM in the end?  The path to success at UM is much more clear than OSU's murky picture right now, despite the NCAA's blind eye.  They have some serious questions at offensive line, not to mention that we won't know if Fickle will remain their coach after we serve them up proper in the big house.   This combined with our academics and the true family feel our our  program will be too much for Dunn to turn down in the end.  We're gonna get ourselves a good one fellas, buckle up!

.... 2013 is already looking like a bright class.

That said, its too early to count our chicken. 2013 recruitment is like 1.5 years from closing. That is a lot of time to make or break deals.

Could be.  OSU is very nervous about losing him and they are throwing the kitchen sink of guilt at him if he goes our way.  Basically he is being fed the same line of "don't be a traitor to Mother Ohio" nonsense that Kalis got once he committed.  The difference is Dunn and Thomas's FAMILY'S are getting it just as badly which makes it doubly hard on the kids.

You have be here to fully appreciate it.

tsio already has an outstanding back in this class in Warren Ball, but considering the style difference, Dunn's 5 star status, the lack of a RB in their class last year, and the fact that the competition is UM, of course there would be a ton of pressure on him.  But the gates are open.

I expect him to commit moderately soon. In some article I read, I think Freep, he mentioned that he wants to after this upcoming high school football season.

With Dymonte, unlike Brionte, I think he has always been a Michigan lean...the OSU penalties was just an after thought.  So I think if he likes what he sees, he is going to commit relatively soon.

Man, just dreaming of the class we could have next year...

As exciting as this quote is, at the end of the day it's just a quote.  This kid is just that, a kid.  They change their minds all the time.  I'm not trying to be debbie downer here but we need to keep things in perspective.  We've all been spoiled lately and hopefully it won't catch up to us anytime soon.  It is still nice to see someone that excited about Michigan, those are the kinds of young men that we want to play for our beloved Maize and Blue!
