DVR reminder UM men's hoops @ Purdue 7PM ESPN

Submitted by ClearEyesFullHart on

Michigan is on the road again tonight at Purdue, tipping off at 7PM.  Michigan is likely 4 regular season wins from a tournament birth, and 8 or 9 wins from the "Big Ten Champs" goal the wolverines have been breaking the huddle with this year.

This game could tell the tale of which goal is the more realistic one.

Vegas has the bad guys by five, Pomeroy likes the bad guys by 4, and I like the good guys by 7ish.

We probably dont need much of a preview.  Its purdue.  Robbie Hummel will be starting for the 8'th consecutive year.  They're not going to turn the ball over, and dont be surprised if Stu has two fouls when he gets off the bus.  Horford didn't travel, so yet again Morgan is going to have to do work.

Here is Dylan's preview

Eventually Evan and Tim are going to snap out of it...aren't they?  Michigan has been winning at home despite failing to achieve "average" status from downtown.  I say Michigan gets some of those to fall tonight, and goes to Columbus for THE SHOWDOWN.  Book it.

I thought I read a tweet yesterday saying Horford was traveling.  Bummer.

At some point, you gotta think THJ, Stu, and Smotz will all flip a switch and start hitting some of these long range jumpers.  I'd like to think that switch gets flipped tonight.

The Wolverines are starting to feel like the Lions of old with this road lsoing streak.  It needs to end tonight, because the road doesn't get any easier with the next two road games being Ohio and Couch Burn.

Tim needs to start off faster, because so far it seems like he is a second half player. We need him to be able to get on pace in the first half, otherwise we will have more games like we did against Arkansas. Having to claw back in the last 10-15 minutes of the game is only going to work against mediocre teams. Plus, Evan has to be getting close to finding his shot again. He has been unable to do anything lately and his horrible looking turnovers has to stop soon too.

I agree, this game is a must win to set us up on a high note before playing Ohio. We need to get on a roll and what better game to do that than tonight?

Set your DVR for a Michigan doubleheader tonight.   BTN is airing UM-OSU @ 9:30 EST conveniently after the UM-Purdue hoops game  (I think this time is correct.  Check your local listings.   I recall 8:30 CST on my satellite TV guide for the football recast.)

You would most likely consider them a Murderer's Row of a stretch. They're AT Purdue, AT OSU, home for IU, and AT MSU. If they go 2-2 in these upcoming games, I wouold consider that a success. If they go 3-1, with the lone loss being to TSIO, I would seriously consider putting Michigan in the driver's seat for the B1G Championship.
