Hating all of you who get to day drink.
Tonight I'll have a beer or two after softball, that's probably it
Goats blood
Drinking threads are dumb.
Dear Magnus,
Thank you for all of your wonderful commentary, a day doesn't go by that I don't log into mgo and anxiously await your next post. Your own MICH blog is the best on all of the internets. If Dave Brandon was a smart man, he would have hired you instead of that loser Brady Hoke.
This letter is to inform you that your mgoblog account has won a total of 7.5 million U.S. Dollars. Please send your name, address, phone number, cup size, social security number, mother's maiden name, and BMI to [email protected] and await further instructions on how to collect your winnings.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Much Love,
Dark Blue
I've got some Modelo Negra waiting for me at home and, just for the heck of it, some Johnnie Walker Black Label.
Cinco de Mayo: Very overrated.
So overrated, agreed. Hell, 3/4 of Mexico doesn't even celebrate it.
and ireland doesn't really care about st. patty's, but an excuse to drink is an excuse to drink. i'll take it.
I don't need an excuse to drink -- I can 100% of the time find one.
i don't need an excuse either, but it's always nice to have one
Cinco De Mayo ?. Nothing. Thought so. If you got nothing positive to say, just keep quiet.
Thanks, for those who care !
aaamichfan's post: Very underrated.
Lol. Sure is !
It depends where you live I think. In so California it is actually pretty fun. I'm all about day holidays and drinking so Cinco de Mayo, 4th of July, Memorial Day etc. are my favorites.
I don't know about you guys, but I certainly don't need to use a Mexican Holiday, that they don't even celebrate in mexico, as an excuse to drink. I can think of many many better reasons to do so. :)
Yeah but when I'm at a high-end party store looking at the thousands of different beers to choose from, it usually helps me narrow my list of choices when there is some context for it (like a cultural holiday, for example).
It's weird that you guys celebrate more cinco de mayo than ppl here in Mexico.... anyways i'm drinking just because it's thursday, some tequila centenario and cerveza xx lager, later though, it's 2:30 pm here, gotta finish my dutties (not even a holyday)
I will be celebrating a long over due vacation at the end of this month in Playa Del Carmen with Mrs Fu....mucho micheladas for me!!!
Welcome to sunny mexico, remember to bring your sun blocker because it's really warm already, micheladas are delicious, there are some bars that make over 50 diferent types, if you're into it, I rather attend filthy cantinas with the urinals next to the bar and spittoons, alongside with red worm mezcal =D
Are you a pirate?
lol, nope, but you'd be stunned with the amount of hot girls that likes to go there, mostly art students though, it's just more vintage I guess, tacky as hell but fun, although I don't think its a place to take the wife, however enjoy good sir
Have a good time man. Are you going to be doing any fishing while you are down there. Dorado or Mahi Mahi should be really good right now along with sailfish and white marlin. Grouper and snapper are always good down there. I'm contemplating a trip to Punta Cana at the end of June if I have the money.
Yup I have one fishing charter and two dives (one open water and one cenote) already booked. The rest of the time I will be at the pool bar destroying my liver.
Cinco de Mayo es mi cumpleaños. Me gusta cerveza.
And I think you said its your birthday? I donno, I gave up on Spanish and tried German and French for a while. Happy birthday (if that's what you said)!
Is very rarely celebrated in Mexico. It's something celebrated in the States.
yeah, its the latin version of St. Patty's day aka an excuse to get hammered. who cares. The Tigs are kicking the crap out of the Yankees and I am knocking back cervazas.
on cinco de mayo, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.
Go Blue !
Not drinking, since I'm home from school for the summer.
To the OP: Technically, it's not the rubber match between the Tigers and Yankees, since it's a 4-game series and the Tigers have already won 2 games. I'm glad to see the Tigers playing better, though. Great pitching in this series.
Starting with some Jose Quervo, then we'll see
Is that a new style of Jose?
The style that only exists in Imaginationland.
I thought it looked funny when I spelled it haha
Drinko de Mayo?
changed the thread title to reflect the holiday as Drink de mayo. thanks for the tip.
As I am flying to Detroit for game 4 at 6:30 am tomorrow. I am doing what any good new orleanian does and am drinking straight through. Even found a case of Molson.
Celebrating French military defeats since 1862.
It is not a Mexican beer, but I'm going to be getting into some Primo at the local watering hole.
Sangria @ Legal Seafood in Cambridge...the Michigan of the East.
Faygo Orange pop !!
Keystone... that's messican, right?
Any day that sucked for the French is a good enough excuse for me. Cheers.
It's studying for me on drinko d'imbibo.
