The Dream I had last night

Submitted by Darker Blue on

Okay let me start this by informing you I am an insulin dependent diabetic (20 + years ) and awoke this morning to a severely low blood sugar. This may have effected my dream.

While sleeping last night, I had a dream which involved an in depth conversation with the Michigan football team. The convo came at the end of this season, a season in which we ended up going 10-2.

I'm not a prophet, or a psychic. Unless I am. Maybe we can go 8-0 to close out the season. I know that the product on the field hasn't been good so far, but things can change. Let's not give up yet. Jump back on the wagon. It starts with Minnesota on Saturday. 23-3 Michigan. Hail.

EDIT: Spelling and stuff.

Is there any other instances that anyone can think of off the top of their head that a team started out playing this bad, then did a 180 and looked above average?

The 2007 team comes to mind--lost to App State and got destroyed by Oregon, rebounded to go 9-4 with win over Florida in Cap One Bowl.

The 1998 team was soundly beaten by ND and Syracuse to start the year, then went rattled off 9 straight wins and finished 10-3 (lost to OSU on the road).

The 2002 team lost a close game at ND and then got destroyed by Iowa at the Big House, but went 10-3 overall (only other loss was a close one at OSU, who won the MNC that year).

I think this current team is starting to most closely resemble the 2001 team: good, but not great, defense, an offense with one outstanding WR but a shaky QB and not much of a running game, That team went 8-3 (regular season losses at UW, and at MSU, home vs. OSU), and then got annihiliated in their bowl game by Tennessee.

the 2001 defense was not good.  It was just better than 2000.  2000 was a big drop off from 1999 when all the 1997 sophomores finished their eligibility.  Current defense should be much better than 2001, which gave up 45 points to Tennessee, lost to a mediocre OSU team, etc.

I took a dump so heinous that the fumes made me fear for the life of my cat. I guess my evening protein shake didn't jive with Jamaican jerk chicken.

I don't know what this has to do with football, but it seems relevant.

If we win the next 8 games that means we play in the B1G championship game and a bowl game so we would have played 14 games and couldn't go 10-2.

I believe you are a prophet and everything you said is true.  I'm willing to relocate my family into a large compound with you and follow your direction.
