Dr. Saturday's take on UM v. ND
Not a bad take.

"Hey guys I need a photo of Brian Kelly and Rich Rodriguez - make sure they look like total clowns in both of them. Thanks!"

do they not have editors over there?

One sentence in and he has a typo, I can't believe this guy gets paid.

Are run-on sentences considered typos? I can't remember.

but the term you're looking for is "comma splice".

Whether a comma splice or no punctuation at all, any time two complete thoughts are not separated by a final punctuation, such as a period, exclamation point or question mark, the result is a run on sentence.

I think we have established the record for nested grammar snipes. I, for one, am proud to be a part of it.

If that's the case, then I guess I'll join in.
but the term you're looking for is "comma splice".
I believe your period is misplaced. I couldn't help myself.

It falls to me to remind people that Not a Blue Fan isn't really an Ohio State fan at heart. He was born in AA and there was a terrible mix up.
Don't you ever get that feeling, Not a Blue Fan? Like there's just something... wrong with everyone around you? Like you belong somewhere better?

Meh, it transcends fandom. It's the result of watching too much Mystery Science Theater 3000 and reading everything Bill Watterson ever published.

If you like college football and don't like Dr. Saturday, you have a problem.

A thousand monkeys on a thousand typewriters wrote the greatest article of all time...

He looks intelligent compared to the comments section.
September 8th, 2010 at 12:24 PM ^
The comments section was horrible, one poster puts "the only outcome i do not see is a blowout by M"… But he can see a blow out by a ND team that is worst than last year? I tend to be a homer sometimes, but i like to think im objective...

Even if M blows out ND, which I doubt will happen, I wouldn't say 'they're back' quite yet. We all know what has happened the last few years and the bridled optimism the rest of the season would hold. M wins 8 and they're back, they beat the Irish, I'll just laugh at the Irish and look forward to UMass.

whatever happened to spell chuckers?

Its amazing how the media makes the national implications connection, then poo-poos it when has none later in the year. To me , its a huge rivalry with bragging rights implications right now.Thats good enough for me.

This is a big game for both programs. Much bigger for Michigan IME because ND is in the first year of a new system. A loss for ND this year doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things for them. However should Michigan lose the questions will re-surface, and RR will get more negative press, and the "fire RR" birds will be out in full force. A win and we're virtually a lock to start 5-0. I believe we're too fast and too good up front for ND to consistently stop us. I see us winning 31-21 on the execution of our offensive and defensive schemes.
