Doles to visit for IU game. Commit watch?

Submitted by no joke its hoke on March 5th, 2013 at 6:20 PM

Tommy Doles is visiting for the basketball game against IU. I thought since "Coach" Brown can call out a commitment watch everytime someone visits, then i can too.

I have coached Tommy, and will be working with him again this year. He is very, very strong. A big frame that will fill out more this year, and once he gets in a college weight room. His athleticism is underrated. Moves his feet really well. Plays with a mean streak and finishes very well. He would be a great get, and I feel he would develop into a nice interior lineman.

His offer sheet is not that great because of his size.  245lb. is very small for an OL, but the coaches have seen him in person and think he can carry more weight.

It seems like he is being recruited to play center.  Recruiting another center after getting Kugler might say something about some other guys on the roster.

I don't think it says anything about the guys on the roster other than "there's only one scholarship center on the roster" and that's Miller.  So I don't think it says anything about Miller per se, just that there's isnt much depth there.

That said, I don't think Doles is being recruited exclusively for center, but more of a C/OG combo guy.  But if you're the only one in your recruiting class who can play center, there's a pretty decent shot you end up there.  But if Kugler locks down the center spot and Doles looks like a good guard, they'll give him a shot there I'm sure.

is opinion based. Whether here, TTB, Rivals or anywhere else. All of the websites rank each commit and give a break down solely based on opinion. Every site has had  5* can't miss prospects that don't live up to the hype, as well as lowly prospects that go on to be all conference. When it comes to commitment watch, unless it's from TVH or Sam Webb I take it all with a grain of salt. Even those two have had their share of misses. I find Magnus slightly more insightful than Mangus, but I read what they both have to say. If you don't like someone don't read what they have to say. It's as simple as that.

I am new to the game but i think you will find my insights insightful.

I figured if any one with youtube can do this why not me.  I don't work right now.  Fired from my job at blockbuster cause my boss is a jerk!  so I'm gonna start calling recruits and set up a site.  I am thinking of naming it  Torchthebanner.

What do you guys think?

You are the wind beneath my wings.  My name is Magnus too, I like watching high school boys work out too, and I have a ton of time on my hands like you do too.   We should hang out some time dude!

Assuridly, maybe you could give me some tips on how to download video of high school boys, and like help me break down the film.  I think about what I would do if I was in their place, on the field, and judge how they react vs. my instincts.  Then I rate them on a scale of one to 6.1.

I want to talk to that coach brown guy about how he gets the kids numbers.  I can't wait to call kids up and ask them their favorite colours and how is feels to be really good at football.

Love you dude!  You're the greatest.   You raise me up!

The sixth grade girl drama regarding coach brown is absolutely hilarious. Equally amusing is the serious nature surrounding points and getting or being "neged". I wasn't a Boy Scout so maybe it's that I never developed an affinity for badges? Cat scratch fever... Too funny.

I really don't mind Caoch Brown.  He predicted Ferns would commit before anyone else even hinted that we could get a commit out of him.  I'll never understand why people hate the new guy so much.  On 247 he was saying that Mason Cole would commit a week before the 247 writers said anything and he was right.

I had no idea this discussion was going on.  Did I miss something?? haha, I'm just trying to get info directly from the prospects and put it out there for people to see.  I can't understand why people are getting so bent over it.  Strange to me.
