Great article by The Wolverine Blog reviewing all of the things that may or may not make Pitt fit in the Big Ten.

Or can you fit in a pit? Or do you want to come over and play Pit fall?
FWIW its Pitt

FWIW, if you actually read his post, it's correct there.

Pit does not fit.
I'm confident that, by adding an additional T, Pitt could fit well. It would be nice and snug.

Reading through all of that they left out the most important reason why Pitt would be such a welcome addition to the Big Ten

Crap. Had I been aware of that particular photoshopawesomeness, I would have included it in the original post. Total failure on my part for not mentioning the Wannstache anyway.

I always try to corner the market in flax, 'cause no one knows what flax is anyway, so they want to get rid of it in favor of wheat, oats, or one of the other well known grains.

Why does no one see this as premature? Rumor, solely. It has not been A) 12 months, nor B) 18 months ; the timeframe window the Big Ten stated it would "review" the possibilty. Not "add" anyone, review... we're not talking 'bout adding, we talkin' about reviewing, reviewing! Yet based on one "source" we're now debating multiple threads of if Pitt will be added after just a couple months?
FWIW (my opinion that is), I really cannot see the BT shooting their wad to (in a rush compared the their aforementioned timeline) add just Pitt. What a letdown it would be. It'll likely be one BIG add, or else the mega-conference deal where Pitt is one of several lesser adds. Considering the fact that it's a strong possibility one+ of the other lesser schools would also come from the Big East, I'd think they'd be announced together.
Can't wait for next week to get here so this goes away.

I realize that it's premature, but rumors often have some basis in reality. I figured that the rumors merited another look at Pitt's resume. I didn't try to overplay the rumors or lend credence to them -- I simply wanted to see how Pitt would fit in the Big Ten.
The offseason is really boring. This spiced it up a little. I think we're all looking forward to NSD and next fall, so stuff like this doesn't merit humongous posts based on iffy rumors.
