Dior Mathis - Wait in Line

Submitted by Jerard on
I wonder if Mathis cares about playing early. I mean Miami is pretty loaded at CB. Here is a list of 4 star CB Miami piled up over the last few years. 2009 - Brandon McGee 2008 - Vaugh Telemague, Ramon Buchanon, Brandon Harris, CJ Holton 2007 - Doug Wiggins, Damien Berry 2006 - Ryan Hill, Tavaris Johnson There'd be more if you count 3 * CBs. Maybe some of these guys are playing safety, I don't know. But it still seems like a substantial depth chart. EDIT: I'm not worried whether he goes to UM or UM, I just wanted to put this little bit of info out there. I'm sure he won't throw a fit if he has to RS regardless of where he goes.

Uh wow, recruiting for '09 just ended and people are already starting to panic for '10 recruiting? Michigan's '10 recruiting class begins and ends with the '09 season. We finish with at least 6-7 wins, and we'll pull in another strong class. Another 3-4 win season, and it all falls apart.

SO let's say he verbals to Miami tomorrow. Is that that big of a loss? If the kid has a woody for Miami, then that's where he belongs. There are other excellent kids out there. I just wouldn't fret over losing this kid especially when he doesn't seem to have Michigan in his heart. And being that he's from Michigan, I don't BLAME him at all for leaving like I dont' blame Rojo or Perry skipping out to USC.

Johnson is a tight end now. Hill is a defensive end. Doug Wiggins transferred to Western Michigan. Damien Berry is a running back. Telemaque has always been a safety prospect (he was high on Michigan at one point). I believe Holton is a safety. I think Buchanon and Harris are cornerbacks. So...that logjam you were talking about? Not so much. Miami recruits good athletes and fits them in wherever they can.
