If he still has his speed all praise Herbert. It'll be interesting to see how our bulked up linebackers handle rb's and te's this year.

This is a serious question..

shouldn't a the 5'11 LB who is 240 lb and same length as equally weighted 6'2 LB, be far more valuable?  I mean, the OL has to bend lower to get to him....     it seems conventional thinking is that the taller LB is more valuable, but I would think this is due to an implication of bone build.

Barry Sanders was the best RB ever and his height was an extreme advantage.. nobody could see him or find him in the scrum,  vs an equal weight 5'11  RB.

Someone please explain this, because am getting quite sick of hearing that Bush is too small, because it seems the opposite..and that its an ADVANTAGE over the taller LB.  thx

Harbaugh was highly criticized for also taking his high school teammates. I see all three are starting this year. I think Gil started as 2 star and Mettellus was a 3 star while being recruited. Once again showing our coaches can recognize talent

Some of this, a lot of this, is positioning.  In the pic to his left he clearly has his shoulders back  and hands open.  The second pick the shoulders are forward exposing his last and chest more, his hands are clinched and possibly flexing.  Two very different poses that can give very different looks.

I just watched his highlight reel on youtube the other day - to pump myself up for FND and the season. Not that I need to pump myself up for FND, the season, or anything. Love that kid
