No surprise...can't blame him for being homesick and wanting to play with his "brother." Plus Fisch is there so he'll be comfortable with the offense*.

*While he sits out because there's no guarantee that staff will be there after this season.

with what should become second best qb in the conference. Other than UM, the school that makes most sense for him.

Good luck young Man and I'm sure we'll be watching you on Sundays soon.

Best of luck to him, he is a great player and I am thankful for his contributions.

While they aren't very similar players, I hope a guy like Zach Gentry can step up and contribute.

It will be awesome to see Wheatley continue to develop and Bunting to get more playing time and have them both showcase their skills.

Good luck to the young man. Could Fisch have orchestrated this when he knew he would be leaving for UCLA? A broader question, when a coach is interviewing for other collegiate jobs, are they able to communicate with current players during the process?

There's that, and I thought the primary driver for this was family for him, and if that's the case then I think that goes in the bucket of "totally understandable". Of course, being familiar with Fisch may help a little, but it doesn't sound like that has much to do with it. Good luck to him at UCLA.

Campus and you can't beat the weather.  Plus family. Understandable decision.  Thought the Harbaugh pull would be strong enough.  I guess it was strong enough to get him to come to Ann Arbor for a year.  Always more than one factor involved.  Tough loss as he will likely be a pretty great TE.  But we'll manage as always.  Under Harbaugh, we will always have a good/great group of TEs.

They're taking all of tight ends. I do hope that his career has a better trajectory than Chris Clarks. Devin seemed like a good guy from all accounts. Hopefully TJ Wheatly makes up for both of those losses.
