I think one of the WR commits was supposed to visit Miami.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
Folks relax Harbaugh got a plan B in his bag of tricks. patience people patience.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:20 AM ^
The coaches knew about this week's ago. Presumably when he was accepted into Stanford.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:21 AM ^
Stanfords one of the very few schools its hard to be upset with for getting one of our recruits. Killer school. I'd be upset if he dumped us for Maryland or Penn State but Stanford you just gotta shrug
January 30th, 2016 at 11:22 AM ^
Any OT left in NJ or committed to PSU that we haven't poached yet?
January 30th, 2016 at 11:24 AM ^
Will Fries is committed to PSU.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:28 AM ^
I just did the google run and found Fries. NJ kid, committed to PSU, and was visited by Patridge in December. Certainly fits the M.O.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:28 AM ^
Bet of luck to the young man. He has a great future ahead whether it be in Football or not. I still think that you go after the best players left on your board regardless of position and if we need to recruit O line prospects harder next year because we dont get one suitable then so be it.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:31 AM ^
If E. J. Price and Greg Little aren’t realistic options for Michigan and no other 5-star or 4-star offensive linemen are likely to be flipped to Michigan by National Signing Day, would the Michigan coaches be better off (a) trying to pick up or flip any 5-star or 4-star players at other positions, rather than settling on lower-rated offensive linemen for this class, and (b) focusing on picking up four or five top-rated offensive linemen for the 2017 class?
January 30th, 2016 at 11:56 AM ^
PLEASE SAY THAT AGAIN FOR ALL THE PEOPLE HERE THAT ARE TOO SMART TO GET IT.
Why waste a scholly on someone who may not pan out, especilly when your in a numbers crunch
January 30th, 2016 at 12:49 PM ^
C. Instead of picking players by stars he picks them by watching them.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:32 AM ^
Quick fact check:
Devery Hamilton did not play in any of M's previous 925 wins.
Jimmy will crack corn...
January 30th, 2016 at 11:37 AM ^
And the recruiting carousel continues to turn.

This is why I don't give a shit if the coaches pull an offer from a kid. Now they are 4 days away from signing day and this kid decides to decommitt. It works both ways.
January 30th, 2016 at 11:46 AM ^
related, this could be.

stupid, you are

January 30th, 2016 at 11:57 AM ^
Should have kept Swenson. I'm gonna set the over under on negs at 15. Ready . . . GO!
January 30th, 2016 at 12:04 PM ^
Why keep Swenson? He was not going to play.

Will be on the O-line in the near future with his size. Book it.
January 30th, 2016 at 12:00 PM ^
It has been booked. you better be fucking right. I booked it. When I book things I take it very seriously.
January 30th, 2016 at 12:01 PM ^
serious as a 4 dollar bill
January 30th, 2016 at 12:06 PM ^
It would be crazy to think that Harbaugh did not know this was a possibility and that he does not have a backup plan. This board operates on what we know which is next to nothing. There will be surprises and all will be well.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:46 PM ^
To say that most people on here know "next to nothing" is being generous.

A position of great need. Hope Harbaugh has something up his sleeve.....
January 30th, 2016 at 1:00 PM ^
and UM is already in on top OT's. However, they really do need Cole to stay to his senior season to avoid a frosh at OT.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:45 PM ^
You mean like Cole but probably higher rated coming out of high school? Cause that worked out so terribly. The sky isn't falling.

Is there noone else who thinks Little could flip? Honest question. We have been doing very well in recruting as of late and the Gary connection also Ole Miss in trouble. I doubt it as many others do but with this staff anything is possible.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:21 PM ^
I just don't think there's enough of a chance that I would expect it.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:35 PM ^
I am just in the frame of mind now that we need to start thinking these things are more possible than they have been in a long time possible ever and we should embrace it. Under Hoke I give it 1 percent chance under Harbaugh I say 25. Not likely but way more feesible.

Good article from Rivals.
https://stanford.n.rivals.com/news/hamilton-switches-to-stanford
"I sat down with my parents after we came back from Stanford this past weekend," Hamilton said. "We sat down and we just decided that this would be the best decision moving forward for me. In terms of the academics, things like that, you can't beat Stanford. We just decided it would be the best decision for me moving forward." And while he will be continuing his career in the Pac-12 rather than the Big 10, Hamilton emphasized that his choice was in no way an indictment of Michigan. He kept Michigan apprised of developments in his recruitment with Stanford throughout the process, and he continues to view the Wolverine program and the people that comprise it in a positive light. "There's no negativity or disrespect toward anybody at Michigan," Hamilton said. "Nobody on the coaching staff, nobody at the university. They're all great people. I enjoyed my time there tremendously. There's no disrespect to them. It's just that I feel, and me and my family feel, that this is the best decision for me to go to Stanford."
January 30th, 2016 at 12:58 PM ^
He should be a great addition to Stanford. As for Michigan I just find it hard to believe the staff does not already have at least one more olineman we do not know about in the fold.
January 30th, 2016 at 12:53 PM ^
Well fuckity, fuck, fuck, fuckity.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:07 PM ^
Wheatley Jr was pretty adamant about playing TE and not DE, I find it hard to imagine he would ever play tackle especially with all the practice report hype at TE

I guess we should just be glad to have him. Since he has such good size and athleticism to be speculated at so many spots.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:17 PM ^
If his best way to get to the NFL is on the OL then I have to think he'll at least consider it.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:21 PM ^
I feel these kids will buy in fully and know coach wants whats best for them and the team. If Coach thinks the OL is his best shot at the show then so be it. I am sure his father will guide him correctly as well.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:43 PM ^
That can be true but where is this speculation coming from? As far as I know it's from board chatter not any real evidence

See you guys in the playoffs soon.
I'm starting to think having more swim lanes is a good thing for the next few days.
More excited for the guys we may get even if we have to scramble some on the Oline; if the last few years has taught us anything, nothing is worse than having a stable of high ranked recruits chained to even higher expectations that aren't getting the job done.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:24 PM ^
sounds like he didn't want to compete with Wilson coming in soon.
Don't let door hit you on way out, son
January 30th, 2016 at 1:32 PM ^
If so yikes guy relax this goes both ways in recruiting. If he say did something very wrong and illegal sure but don't let the door hit ya is a weak response imo. If you were responding to something else sorry.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:37 PM ^
I heard he didn't have the academic chops to get into Michigan.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:51 PM ^
I heard she goes to college. Honest question trolly trollerton why when sparty has had so much success as of late would you not be enjoying that instead of playing into the you still feel inferior of UofM thing by being here posting garbage?
January 30th, 2016 at 7:34 PM ^
It's not about sports anymore
January 30th, 2016 at 8:41 PM ^
You guys could win the playoff every year or go 5 and 7 and I would never spend a minute on your message board. Enjoy your recent success. You are only as inferior as you make yourself. Posting here to defend everything sparty is just sad. I feel sorry for you honestly. It is like you won the lotto recently but still envy your neighbors better job. I do not get it.
January 30th, 2016 at 1:53 PM ^
What does our OL board look like for this class and next? It feels extremely thin to me. Given how hard it is to project O-linemen, should we be worried?

These are great people to get info from. With Bredeson Onwenu and forgive spelling Spennelli? We have some solid prospects on board. Just a little worried about sheer numbers. Someone above posted we are in good shape for the #1 guy for 17 class as well.
January 30th, 2016 at 7:47 PM ^
Y'all need to calm down. Harbaugh knows what he is doing.
