Detroit Tigers giveaway - Maize & Blue Tigers hat with Block M
The Detroit Tigers are sponsoring their "Wolverines in the D" event on Friday, September 25th (night game vs. Twins). For those of you unaware, the ticket package includes a $5 per ticket donation back to the University of Michigan's Pat Maloy Cancer Scholarship which is given to a student with financial need who either has cancer or has a family member who has cancer.
The other significant part of the package deal is a giveaway that usually involves something with the Tigers Old English D logo somehow meshed with Michigan's maize and blue. Traditionally they've done a t-shirt but this year, they're doing a hat and its pretty sweet.
The only way to get the hat is to buy this ticket package and show up to pick the hat up at the game. You can get tickets here: www.tigers.com/michigan

They were not the same and I'm pretty sure Moe's stopped selling them.
I actually bought one of the Moe's hats a few years ago. It didn't have the block M. Moe's had a special order with New Era, to do Cubs, Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, White Sox and Tigers hats in maize and blue but no block M on them. I also think Moe's stopped selling them. I tried to get a friend one this summer and when I went to the store on North University they were out of stock and not sure if they were ever going to be back. I don't see them on the Moe's website any more either.

I just called Moe's. They do NOT have them in any more. He said its been nearly a year now.

Also, the game usually features some UM group or another singing the National Anthem and a Michigan related person throwing out the first pitch. Last year it was Luke Glendenning and the year before it was Jimmy King.

Difference between us and little bro, we support our own school. They'd have a hell of a fanbase if they put as much effort supporting their school as they do trying to tear ours down.
