Hotel Dupont in Wilmington. We celebrated our first wedding anniversery in the Green Room (first state--doh!).
Costly meal yes, but I swear we hallucinated later that evening. This was unusual in that we had not procured anything to explain the fireworks. Possible explanations: a) it was a GREAT bottle of wine, b) magical mushrooms in the entrees, or c) we were fools and in love. Regardless--highly recommended place to stay and eat. As I recall, we came in looking like billies after camping in WV and they didn't mind too much.
