Dee Hart Speaks and His Words are Reported

Submitted by MGoShoe on

ESPN.com's Corey Long has written an article with extensive quotes from Dee Hart.  Included are his impressions of Michigan, the effect or non-effect of RichRod's status, his view of DRob, and Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix's status.  As previously reported, Hart will visit Ann Arbor for the Wisconsin game.

"Honestly it was a little close at first between Michigan and Alabama, but after a while I knew where I wanted to go."

"The Michigan fans are such friendly people, they make you feel comfortable and calm. They want you to enjoy the Michigan experience and take it all in. And the coaches are the same way. They wanted us to be around the team and experience everything first hand."

"I liked Michigan either way and if [Coach Rodriguez] were to leave it wouldn't affect me because I think I can play in any offensive system. So it really wasn't my concern. That being said I wanted to make sure everything came together. He's winning ball games right now and the future looks good so it's coming together."

There's much more there, so have at it.

good to see kids coming in that won't get your school in trouble by the things that they say. Dee seems like another one of these kids, and i don't think he will reflect negatively on our school in the future.

I am really disappointed in Dee's effort.  I mean what ever happened to playing until the whistle sounded.  I find it disappointing that he is giving up on HaHa so easily.  Talk about a lack of effort.  We know who is going  to have to work extra hard for their wings.

/sarcasm.

You know, I think it would be a pretty good idea to make all freshmen earn their wings. Even let the best players at the position group decide when that player gets them. Can you imagine Will Campbell trying to live up to Mike Martin's expectations?

That's giving me goosebumps just thinking about it.  I hope Denard has posted what MSU's Kevin Pickelman said about him in his locker for motivation, "We contained him, we knew he couldn't throw the ball."   Pretty classless to say that about a guy who has completed 67% of his passes, and still threw for over 200 yards against you.

Unless State's plan was to get beat on running plays and barely make lunging shoestring tackles and to leave receivers so wide open that Denard gets over-excited and overthrows them, then they didn't stop us as much as we stopped ourselves.  What is frustrating is how many plays were an inch away from being big gainers or TDs, but just missed.  Hopefully we will finally have a healthy team going to State next year (Shaw, Woolfolk, Toussaint, etc.), and show them just what this team can do.

Still, are you shocked that State showed a lack of class?  Pickleman is a jackass, and we will see what he has to say when he gets teabagged by our offense on national TV next year.

...contained.

Unfortunately, that's now "The Book" on Denard that *EVERYONE* (from writers, to radio,, to other coaches) in college football Intelligeista is now writing on Denard that "If you cut off his run lanes so that he has to throw, he'll make bad decisions".  I personally think that's bull.  But Denard is at the "Prove Them Wrong" point of his college career.  If he does (and Michigan can upgrade their defense from "Worst in College Football" to "terrible") Michigan has a shot at a decent season.

If he doesn't?  It's the 2009 collapse version 2.0 (and every anti-Rich Rod Blue fan is salivating at the thought of "More Traditional Big Ten QB" Devin Gardner starting at qb next year for Harbaugh...I know, I've had the bar conversations).

in his post game presser there were several questions that he handled himself very nicely.  but the body language, facial expressions and voice tone were different!  he was matter of fact several times with serious intense competitive passion that comes when you lose!  yet he did not embarass himself, his family or his university!  DRob has class along with INTENSITY!  rewatch his presser!  I am stoked for saturday!  GO BLUE beat iowa
