Dayton Roll Call

Submitted by BucksSuck on

Who's gonna be in Dayton tonight?  I will be there is section 103 row J seat 1!  After 8 years of driving from Dayton to AA for every home football game it is about time that UM come see me.  There is a watch party at Milano's on the UD campus for those who cannot get tickets.

This one registers as FULL BULLSHIT.

I mean, maybe if you said you got the tickets just because you wanted to go, but the BULLSHIT of "figuring" UM would be in the Play-In Game?

That takes this one to FULL BULLSHIT.

Section 306, nosebleeds but will be a cool experience to be in the building. Last NCAA tournament game I attended was in the Rd of 32 game vs VCU at the Palace.

Go Blue!

some it last night.  The court set up looks really cool and it appeared to be close to a packed house.  Miraculously, they seem to be making this into a semi-respected stand-alone event.  Now, if they can just remember not to invite Vanderbilt coming off of two brutal losses they would be all set. (South Carolina should have been in that game).

When they announced Vandy got in I was sure Michigan didn't. Luckily that was right when the bracket leaked so I didn't have to worry too long.

Dayton has always done a very good job with NCAA tournament games.  That's why they were given the Play-In's.  it will be done up as a first-class event.  We need to play accordingly.

I'll be at Suds Maguire's in Berea. I'll be at one of the high tabletops behond the bar with my UPS driver neighbor. I hope to better my seating by sneaking up to a barstool by halftime.

I'll probably opt for one of the Great Lakes seasonals, although Brooklyn Brewing may come into play

go out drinking for Michigan tournament games.  I literally get so nervous that I will start pounding beer, especially draft beers, to the point of (B)olivian.

Like you OP, I spent almost 8 years (7) driving from Dayton to AA for football games.

In 1985, the tournament came to me when Michigan played in the NCAA first round in Dayton.  But I got lazy and did not go.  I always regretted that, even though we lost to eventual National Champion Villanova in the 2nd round at Dayton.

So good on you for going when you get the chance.  I recommend it to anybody nearby who can attend.
