Dantonio Moonwalks Away From Satellite Camp "Abuse - Control" Comment
Dantonio now appears to be moonwalking away from his slap at Michigan regarding abuse of remote camps and the ensuing NCAA ban that's up for the imprimatur of the NCAA Directors.
He said the “abuse” comment was over his concern that every program would be diving head-first into multiple camp stops each summer.
“That speaks to how many people are headed in that direction this year,” Dantonio said, “not just one specific university. That’s what everybody had on the docket. Everybody was on the docket for that, including us.”
Pretty funny stuff. I am pleased that he apologized for weasel-worded his way around his misstep, even if he did so by stretching the truth a bit.

Coward!
I just realized that we have been mocking MSU for years about this picture, but it is really the Swiss Association for Energy Economics. It is probably some egghead engineer that tagge this car.
Wow! It's hard to type this and keep a straight face! Like anyone in East Lansing would know about S+AEE

My original post had the title "Dantonio apologizes for stake in the turf" to draw an analogy between his backtracking and Hoke's pathetic apology regarding the stake.
FWIW, I saw the error in my ways and changed my title before I saw your note. But yeah - it's short of an apology, and I'll fix it in the main body of the post.
for "weasel-worded".
You also mis-spelled his name.
Is it Tim D'antonio and Mork Izzo, or Tom D'antoni and Mike Izzo? Daymont Gren and Scot Skills? Ervin Magick Johnson? The Spartins get no respekt, no respekt I tell you.
EDIT: somehow, I forgot to include the immortal Kork Coupons
+1 for +1
Dantonio-what a wanker.
You have to think he is backing away from his comment in light of the overwhelming flow of public opinion being against the SEC, ACC, PAC12, and the dopes in the non-Power 5 that voted against the satellite camps.
Reminds me of Hoke apologizing for the team putting a tent stake in the turf. And Harbaugh remains silent, watching people trip over themselves while he is two steps ahead of them.

Even if he changes his stance . . . recruits still won't want to come to State.

Dick Dantoni? His dickish comments seem to call for it.
(Quick thread hijack: Pawwwl is interviewing John U Bacon RIGHT NOW on the Finebaum show about the camp controversy)
He can eat a bag of dicks and so can those mouth breathing idiots on rcmb.
Shaw said nothing like that. he basically said he didn't care about satellite camps. And then he buried a punchline by saying, basically, he wouldn't be able to find any mouth breathers in SEC territory who could get into Stanford anyway.
two-faced he really is. He pretends like he's diplomatic now and not taking any digs at us, but even his own fanbase knows he is lying. The sad thing is they love it regardless
was red meat for his fan base. Now he has to back track so he can run satellite camps.
"First I vote for it, then I voted against it" #politics
MSU had good reason to want to keep the camps even if Harbaugh was the first to do it in SEC territory. Hear his point: if 'everybody' ended up doing the same thing, it would get abusive and overdone. Turf wars, etc. Harbaugh had a sharp idea and carried it out, but likely not sustainable when dozens more schools would follow. SEC / ACC didn't even like ONE guy doing it, and those territories with lots of talent (e.g. the South) would see the most 'intruder' camps.
Where's that Jennifer Lawrence "Oh, ok" gif when you need it.

OK, Mark.
You Asshole.
Dantoni is full of baloney.
These kids WANT to be recruited! The kids voluntarily go to the camps to improve their skills, see how they measure up to elite talent, and get noticed by coaches who might OFFER THEM A SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND COLLEGE!!!!!
The horror!
Yeah, god forbid coaches who want to teach and recruit be allowed to teach and recruit kids who want to be taught and recruited. And god forbid kids get to choose who teaches and recruits them instead of just whatever coach happens to be at the nearby universities.
ALL B1G schools recruit the South, but with traditional recruiting the local schools will always have an advantage. When a school actually runs a few camps down there, THEN they take notice! This is far more about the southern schools responding to a clearly perceived threat than it is about parsing a few words from a rival coach.
Not Mike on Mike and Mike. He ranted very well this morning but at every instance he used osu as an example of FBS coaches getting screwed. He mentioned Harbaugh by name a couple times but couldn't bring his nd self to say the word Michigan.

So he had it on his docket to abuse...great explanation
“That speaks to how many people are headed in that direction this year,” Dantonio said, “not just one specific university. That’s what everybody had on the docket. Everybody was on the docket for that, including us.”
Whatever. I was just a bit floored when he made his original comment for this very reason though - he was going to be part of the "abuse" with camps as well. To see Dantonio engage in a half-assed clarification of a statement that was clearly a jab is.....very Dantonio.
That didn't even make sense
Mark Dantonio is abusing oxygen by breathing.
