I know its Dakic but I think we all assume this will be happening. That will lead to Karlaftis de-commit from Purdue and commit to the good guys.
At that point should we be concerned how that will affect Harrison's recruitment or just shut up and be happy for a 5*?

I don't know why Harrison would care. There are 4 starting DL spots and Harrison will play anywhere he goes. All this means is he's surrounded by more elite players, which is part of the reason he probably wants to come to Michigan.

They're not going to play the same position, so no, one will not affect the other. Karlaftis will start out at Anchor with a strong possibility of moving down to 3T. Harrison will start at End with a decent chance of moving to Anchor. The coaches would absolutely get both on the field.

Yeah if Karlaftis is really already in that 260 range I could see him getting up to that 285 area relatively quickly and if he keeps his quickness he's going to be a nightmare at the 3T.

The only thing I would say is that simply refining Karlaftis' body composition and strength and keeping him at Anchor would allow for a four man front of Karlaftis, Mazi, Hinton, and Harrison. Based on recruiting rankings, that would be one of if not the scariest front four we've ever fielded.

Playing on a line with a number of elite players reduces the potential that other teams will be able to focus on one player.

Not that I wouldn't be thrilled to see him go, just wondering why he's supposedly such a slam-dunk hire. I get the Louisville connection and everything, and obviously he has that flashy win over OSU this year, but outside of that his teams haven't been all that great or consistent.

I think we all just miss a good coaching search. We have gotten so used to have a search ever four years or so around here, it just feels like time. We miss the thrill of the hunt, the following of rumors, and the tracking of flights. The fact that we might get something out of this is just our excuse.
