Cowboy Hats for McGuffie?

McGuffie is homesick....what can we as fans do to make him feel more at home?

One thought I had is the student section wearing cowboy hats....any other ideas?

I thought that during his recruiting, when he considered going to Cal.  His family was going to be moving with him.  And that the cost of housing in AA relative to Berkeley made M more attractive.  Did I not hear this story?

may be the fact his home and family has been struggling lately due to post hurricane ike related stress.  it may just clear itself up in the next few weeks.  despite it not really being national news anymore, things down here aren't all sunshine and cattle.  i just got power back yesterday after a 2 week hiatus.  about 20% of the MAIN power lines are down, which means 25-30% of people dont have power.  his side of town was one of the ones missing large areas.  this can put a lot of stress on his parents, not just because they don't have air conditioning, but traffic in houston has been horrendous (or at least much much worse than normal), and some commodities just arent available yet.

I was 45 minutes away from home in college and when I left, you're goddamned right I missed my best friends and my family. That's just how it is.

This doesn't sound like a kid who's saying, 'I need to get back to Houston'...just a kid who's getting used to being away from home, like we all had to do.
