Did Texas A&M copy Wisconsin's fight song, or was it the other way around? It's the same tune.
January 5th, 2013 at 12:38 AM ^
which used "There'll Be a Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight" as its fight song prior to the adoption of "The Victors"

Oklahoma has no idea what the fuck to do...jeez

about Manziel is his on-field smarts...when he runs the zone read he NEVER takes the wrong option and gets stuck with a loss for putting the ball in the wrong hands. And his footwork...dude looks like Muhammad Ali in the backfield with the ball...he just doesn't pivot the wrong way and end up sacked. Ever. Just a beautiful player to watch.
January 4th, 2013 at 10:58 PM ^
He actually really is. The footwork thing is something I've finally noticed tonight (after watching a few A&M games this year it was more social times out and about). For being a smaller guy he really makes up for it in speed (duh), smarts, and technique.

Man I wish Michigan would have gotten a chance to play high-flying Johnny Manziel and his A&M squad in a bowl game...
..said none of us...

what is up with all the Ohio-love on ESPN? Are these promotions by the NCAA? I'm sorry but that 1 minute ad showing their practices drives me nuts. Then they show the plays of the year and some bomb by Miller to a wide open receiver is included. (I didn't see if it won them the game or anything, but honestly, their season only affected records for a few teams.)

"Diving Show" will take a dive in the ratings after half a show or somethimg
Also, Johnny makes things happen man. He has led his team to a 3 TD lead in 4th QT against a strong program historically and currently.

I just don't understand how a schol like A&M got god overnight. It feels like it takes us forever to rebuild from Rich Rod. These guys have sucked forever, and suddenly they're an excellent team.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:21 PM ^
19-7 Hoke has gone against tough odds, not his perfect type of squad and we've improved our defense big time.
It's only gonna get better. The teams we lost to this year had a combined record of 57-7 and we were in every game and had the lead in a couple on the road with some bad luck.
We'll be fine

I know the Alabama game was a long time ago and all, but it was 31-0 before we scored a single point.

Sorry for that omission, I meant to indicate that and got caught up in my comment.

...they've been one of those "almost" programs for awhile. Like how Florida was before Spurrier started coaching there. Now they've got a different coach, a QB that so far looks like he's light years beyond the skill of the guy they just lost to the first round of the NFL draft, and as crazy as it sounds, playing in the ESS EEE SEE has elevated their preparation for what they're seeing tonight.
Hey, I thought they were out of their minds...they blew what, a 20-point lead in the 2nd half last year to a WEAK Texas Longhorns team and then they decide they're putting on the big boy pants moving over to the same DIVISION (nevermind conference) as Alabama and LSU? And they lose two (very close) conference games their first year, whip Saban in Tuscaloosa, and are showing just how much further behind they've left their old conference behind by pushing Oklahoma around in the Cotton Bowl.
Think about Auburn...they were a mediocre (at best) team before sCam Newton showed up and won every game he played. Two years after he left they're not even bowl-eligible and their coach is fired. There are players on this year's team who have National Championship rings, fergodsake.
College football...sometimes it's a strange game.

What a touch. Being able to throw like that, too? Just ain't fair.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:20 PM ^
Wow, just Wow.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:21 PM ^
LOL at anyone comparing manziel to tate forcier, this guy has earned the right to be cocky, did you just see that perfect throw? Even good forcier probably never makes that throw.

I guess at this point Stoops and the rest of the big twelve(ish) are thinking it's a good thing A&M left the conference. The SEC is praying that A&M dont pick up a ton of recruits and depth after the Flordia debalce and this game.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:36 PM ^
Manziel's over 200 yards rushing and they're up by TD's with less than 5:00 to play. Sit him before he gets hurt on a flukey pointless play.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:38 PM ^
run that was by Johnny and he still avoided getting clobbered despite running up the gut and over to the sideline
the kid is just a natural

is a damn good team and they just got whooped
January 4th, 2013 at 11:42 PM ^
why didn't you try and help recruit Johnny to AA?
January 4th, 2013 at 11:43 PM ^
At 229 yards rushing and 287 yards passing out of his team's 633 yards of total offense, Manziel's arm and legs are responsible insome fashion for about 80% of the Aggie's yards.
As it stands, this game will end with 1,031 yards of total offense from both teams combined, meaning Johnny Football was almost literally half this offense in the game. Wow.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:56 PM ^
MOST impressive.
And then consider the times when Denard's offensive numbers actually exceeded Michigan's total offensive stats for certain games during his career in Ann Arbor (I know it's happened more than once, most recently this past year against the USAFA).
The perspective is that Johnny Football is most of A&M's offense, but there have been times when Denard was all of Michigan's. Which is one of many reasons I will always love Denard.

It is the only song their band knows, and they play it anytime they move the ball at least an inch.
I usually have to watch their games on mute, but Johnny shut them up last night. It was funny to listen to them struggle to find something positive to play for.
I honestly don't know how the fans, players & even the band members don't bash their own heads in with a pipe by the second quarter each game.
