I'm curious, because this guy isn't ranked anywhere, whether there is any highlights of him throwing? I want to see what his arm strength and delivery looks like. In any case, happy with the pick-up.

I got this from a user over at Hailvictors: "Camp report is that he has very good mechanics, good ball spin. He made Elite 11 at the UGa camp as well."

Good pickup. Crazy that Rod offered this kid way back last summer even though he was just a sophomore at the time. Another RB, OT, and OG, and we're set on the offensive side of the ball.

Let's try to be nice, RR offered the kid because he saw something that he liked about the kid. I would hate to think that this kid is reading this blog and the impression he gets of UM fans is that they will insult a high school kid. Cornelius I hope if you are reading this you will overlook some peoples thoughtless words.

Jones said a while back that the coaches at Michigan were recruiting him as an athlete. Now, that could have changed over the past couple months to where they said they want him specifically as a QB, but don't be surprised if we keep recruiting QBs.

Brian has had him listed as a 4 star on the Board for a while. Varsity Blue has him at 3. Pretty good yardage per below. Here from Palmetto Sports: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20090615/PSPORTS02/906159897/1002/SPOR… Spartanburg QB Cornelius Jones (6-2 185) committed Monday to Michigan while attending one of the Wolverines' camps. "I think it's a great decision," said Spartanburg coach Freddie Brown. "He looked in state first. He didn't receive an offer and he moved on. He's a great player and a good kid. He'll start out as a quarterback. He threw a lot of balls the last couple of days at camp. Their system is a lot like our system." Michigan identified Jones as a target back in the spring of 2008 and offered him then. He also has offers from Duke, Wake Forest and Stanford. Last season Jones had 1756 total yards including 1100 passing yards.
