The fallout from this is crazy. One minute, your a starter on the team, the next, you are gone from the team and the school. I am just saying that this whole thing, including the incident, is crazy to watch as an outsider. Like watching a train wreck.

The thing about college hockey is that it is not the only feeder program for the pros like Football or Basketball. I dont have a solid scouting report on Conboy or know his age, but there are a lot of other playing options he has.

School is just not that important to a large majority of even college hockey players.

Conboy could go to major jr. in Canada if he is still young enough (20 or under); he is property of the Candadiens and could sign and be assigned to one of its farm teams (AHL or ECHL) or he could look to play in a lower tier pro league like the UHauL as indepdent (with Montreal still owning his rights). In short, leaving school is not a death knell to his playing career like it would be for a football or basketball player.

I might have missed something either in the news, or already mentioned, but is Kampfer the one that got into it with Milano (the now-defunct fullback)? Is that how/why he had the previous injury?

Sounds to me like he took the easy way out, almost like he was looking for a reason to get the hell out of there. And he found it.

Good riddance. And, given his obvious lack of actual talent, good luck finding work in this economy.
