Columbus Wolverines: Brandon to Speak at Annual Dinner on May 9th

There are 2,500+ Michigan Alumni in Central Ohio, but only ~500 are AAUM members, and only a small fraction of those even attend alumni events or show up when the Maize and Blue come to town.  After seeing all the red in Michigan Stadium last year, it is my goal as a member of the local alumni club to mobilize the faithful down here, regardless of whether they are alumni assn. members or even alumni.

So, all Columbus Wolverines are invited to join the University of Michigan Club of Central Ohio for our Annual Dinner at the Boathouse at Confluence Park (679 W. Spring St., Columbus, 43215) on Friday, May 9th as we welcome David Brandon, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Michigan.

The event will begin with a meet & greet from 6-7 PM, followed by dinner at 7 PM, and Brandon's presentation at around 8 PM.
Cost is $45, which includes hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and dessert.  It's $50 for non-AAUM members.
AAUM members can register here:  You can also register by calling the Alumni Association at 800.847.4764.  Non-AAUM members can register by paying via check.

If you want to pay by check, send your check, payable to the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Central Ohio, to Matt Stout, 100 S. 3rd St., Columbus, Ohio 43215, by noon on April 30th.

For more information or specific dietary restriction requests, please contact Matt Stout at [email protected].

I'm fairly surprised there's 'only' 2,500ish alums in central Ohio. Seems like there's a boatload of us down there. Wouldn't have surprised me to hear we had up to 10,000 down there (considering we have 400,000+ living alumni and Columbus is one of the closest major metros to Ann Arbor)

fans in Columbus b/c there is so much hatred of the block M, so whenever I see someone in maize and blue, I notice it more than I would if I was in Chicago or NYC.

Regardless, this is the perfect event to come to if you don't know any other M fans in town.  You can have a few drinks, talk about how annoying osu fans are, feel good about knowing others who feel the same way, then hear what DB has to say.
