During Brady Times, most people said they wanted Henson.

I firmly believe Michigan wins the 1999 National Championship if Lloyd Carr sticks with Brady from day 1 in 1999 (and tells Henson to either STFU or GTFO).
It's so funny to me how history repeats itself in various ways...
And yes, I'm a firm believe in Speight.

It didn't start off all that well at all but I did like that Speight eventually shook off the initial rattling he took at that things began to fall mostly into place as they had in the first two games. If there is a positive takeaway in that sense, it is that he successfully overcame quite a bit of adversity, I think. This is something that will come in useful later in the schedule, and if he keeps overcoming it like this, it can only mean good things.

Offense needs work. I don't know how they are going to fix that OL. I have faith that Speight will get better, but with a good running game, Speight is going to be asked to do too much. And I do not believe Speight can carry this team right now. I sure hope both OL and Speight get better by end of October.
On a happy note, we won by 17. That is awesome.

Seriously, has Harbaugh hired Darrell Funk to be an OL consultant?
September 17th, 2016 at 8:45 PM ^
In O'Korn's most recent start he was 12/26 for 98 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 interceptions (QBR 7.5). That is a hot mess!
I know the backup QB is always the most popular player, but I'll leave expert evaluations to the coaches.

fuck a year or two away. Been hearing that every year since the dawn of time. There's too many seniors and all-americans on this team. The time is now.

Yeah, the things said about qb weren't untrue, but our D (especially if Lewis, Taco, and Mone get back) probably won't be this good for a long time. Not because they won't be good, but because talent wise, one is special.

was like right under his throwing arm. Wouldn't surprise me if his shoulder was hurting because his accuracy was just way off of where it had been even with no pressure on him

Worried about Running Game
Worried about OL regardless of player assurances
Speight had a bad game hoping that was an abberation and not a breakdown vs a better team. Speight is throwing scary floaters the past few games don't like that and he seems to have a peripheral vision problem. Had a few players drilling down on him and he just flat didn't see them. Also thinkin he may be telegraphing his passes with eye movements.

Yeah I think having Drake back will help the running game. Hopefully when he gets back he'll be the healthiest he has ever been. The guy can rip and he's the man when he's hitting on all cylinders. Deveon and Isaac need to get their heads out of their asses and show some emotion. Just once I'd like to see them two pissed off at the same time and punishing people. Tape the ankles and wrists and get your asses to work. Stick the stiff arms and drive the legs.

We adjusted and focused on the place where he had a giant advantage: Butt. You'd hope our WRs who we think are very good could get open against even very good corners. Running game had that toss play that worked really well and not much else. We didn't have anything to threaten them deep so it felt like they could sell out against the run which then made Butt open.
Speight does have an issue with nerves I think.

QB position has to get better just to prevent 8 man boxes. WR's not getting seperation is an issue and that needs to be solved.
Gotta believe in Speight enough to attack the middle of the field and force these safeties to be a little deeper than 8 yds off the LOS.
