I'm pretty pissed about it. I have to work in MLB from 4-5:30 and am going to miss it, all the while being right next to it.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:24 PM ^
I listened to his show briefly this morning. Thought he said he was live at Ingalls mall from 10-1, and that they would be taping SportsNation at 3-4 and airing it at 4, so you could make the taping of it I believe. If rain doesn't hold off he said they'd go inside to the theater, but he didn't state which one (maybe Hill Auditorium?).
Edit: Maybe it is live now that I look at their twitterpage.
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:48 AM ^
is a first class d-bag. he knows nothing about sports and only gives opinion to generate buzz. he hates michigan for years and now he loves us when his joke of a show is visiting AA. f him and that skank he's bringing with him.
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:51 AM ^
You do not say those things about Michelle Beadle! She represents all that is right in this world.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:02 AM ^
Cowherd is despicable and a plagiarizer but Beadle rocks
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:10 AM ^
Just saw her walking around. Looks pretty different w/o makeup, but still pretty good.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:13 PM ^
Seen It.
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
Cowherd was talking about Babe Ruth playing in 1908 and said U of M was barely founded then. Someone in the crowd yells "(U of M was) founded in 1817!"
Cowherd then sheepishly admits "officially founded in 1817," and then moves on after a few seconds of silence. I really need to turn this off until 12:30 when RR comes on.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:39 PM ^
...team had won 4 National Championships by 1908 (1901, 1902, 1903, 1904), the man just confirmed himself as the class A douchebag idgit we all think he is.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:59 PM ^
i don't think ruth was around in '08. ty cobb was taking the tigers to a world series though - lost to the cubbies (their last ws title).
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:28 PM ^
....correct. The Babe's first year with the Red Sox was 1914.
Ruth was 19 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 11, 1914, with the Boston Red Sox.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:03 AM ^
Cowherd is talking up how stunning the campus looks.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:06 AM ^
When does Brian get his own show?
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:09 AM ^
No...
Question is - what is Beadle doing around Ann Arbor today?
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:07 AM ^
To hope that Coach punches Cowherd right in the face?
I think not.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:11 AM ^
He started talking about Vick. Then he tried to localize the topic by saying that Denard was a wild card to compensate for lackluster personnel compared to OSU. Like this is some science experiment or something.
If you all are like me and can't be in your car for Rich's 12:30 interview, here's a link:

Please give him a warm Ann Arbor welcome, you know the kind, the one we give opposing goalies at Yost.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:29 AM ^
How much you wanna bet me that if he keeps losing everyone with his opinions, he'll play the Beadle card to calm everyone down and get them back on his side?
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:25 AM ^
But I actually like Cowherd. I don't get to listen to him often but I'm definitely streaming it at work today.
He is the most (brutally) honest national radio host that I'm aware of, which I appreciate.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:08 PM ^
I don't dislike him because he has hated on Michigan in the past. I dislike him because he sits behind his microphone and dispenses little nuggets of wisdom as if he is some sort of ancient sage oracle. Complete BS. He literally referred to himself as "a liferaft of sanity amidst a sea of misery" at the end of his show the other day. I only heard it because I was waiting for SVP to start.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
True this. He'll also state something the he thinks is excellent material, then find five different ways to repeat it with different analogies for the next ten minutes, followed by a phone call from someone who disagrees with him, whom he will cut off in mid-sentence as they argue poorly one of the better points of his arguement. Then he we say, "these are the types of mouth-breathers who disagree with me. C'mon, get out of your mom's basement."
Anyone with an actual arguement who disagrees with him is never given airtime. Unless it's Herbstreit, in which case Colin will backpeddle and, "you have a good point..."
He's a real intellectual.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
But he also says incredibly dumb and arrogant things on his show with great frequency. Hence, I neither watch nor listen to him anymore.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
I do like how he compares things to real life by analogy. He reminds me of a lounge lizard from a really uppity frat where guys are all geared towards talking intellectually. Like that preppy group in "Animal House". It is a nice change of pace from my dive bar routine.
But I gotta take him in small doses.
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:16 PM ^
September 22nd, 2010 at 3:28 PM ^
Thank you! He also needs to get rid of that pic. He's scaring everyone.
September 22nd, 2010 at 6:36 PM ^
he should change it to something that was not himself...
September 22nd, 2010 at 7:52 PM ^
September 23rd, 2010 at 8:22 AM ^
...because he's comfortable with his own identity. I understand that's a good thing.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^
I would expect more of the same today.
I would play the Beadle card if dealt it... just sayin'...
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
Colin just said that there is a reason why DQ is not doing very well in Anchorage(Alaska). What a BS, i have lived in Anchorage for several years and DQ is doing great. Cant wait to hear RR in 30 min. Go Blue!
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:03 PM ^
...if he's going down the "RR isn't a good fit in AA" with this spiel about the Rays.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
I kept waiting for that too.
He actually ended up taking Rich's program and saying that it gave us an advantage for being so "contrarian".
We got the steady diet of "I am buying stock in Michigan football."
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:10 PM ^
per wikipedia: Born Oct 23 1975. Is an avid dog lover and there is no mention of any relationship. Favorite team houston astros.
bottom line guys: start walking an adorable puppy around campus and randomly walk into her while wearing a astros shirt.
You're in like flint.
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
That the phrase is "In Like Flynn." The Flint thing goes back to a Coburn movie in the 60's that tried to play off the phrase, and is often mistaken for the original, claimed to refer to Errol Flynn's famous acquittal in a statutory rape case.
September 22nd, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
I can't say I realized that at all. Will probably never use the phrase again now.
So therefore I will create a new phrase " in like Drob to in endzone"
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:26 PM ^
RR on the show after the commerical break.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:43 PM ^
I almost choked on the irony of it all. Also, would it have killed RR to have called Sparty "Little Brother".
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
LOL. He is not a guy you can ever turn to for bulletin board material.
It would have been cool though.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
for whoever gets beadle to join all of us at ricks tonight
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
Ricks sucks.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
Erroneus!
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:48 PM ^
I second. RIck sucks. The Brown Jug sucks. Ashleys and Charlies are much better.
September 22nd, 2010 at 5:38 PM ^
Charley's > Brown Jug? Not in this universe.
September 22nd, 2010 at 6:46 PM ^
Ashley's and Brown Jug are better than Rick's and Charley's. Anyone who disagrees is probably a fratboy married to a sorostitute.
September 22nd, 2010 at 5:33 PM ^
but where else do they have coat rooms you can take her too after a night of grinding ...
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:14 PM ^
but I would blow 100 bucks on buying drinks for Beadle and myself if that were to happen at Rick's.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
You won't be seeing them anywhere in A2 tonight.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:27 PM ^
Taking a 7-hour bus ride to State College. No way Cowherd would go for that -- hence:
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
I stopped in twice today to watch the taping. First was between 10 and 11 when he rambled about the Yankees and such, then he said RR would be there at 12:30 so I made sure to come back then. The second time there was a much larger number of people there and the crowd was more into it. The RR interview went well, and I managed to give him a handshake and a "Go Blue" as I left to head back to Markley.
