Colin Cowherd

Submitted by evenyoubrutus on

Did anyone else hear Colin Cowherd on Tuesday (?) talking about mvictors? I was flipping through my saved sports stations in my car and got to Colin Cowherd. As always when he comes on the radio, I dove to change the station as fast as humanly possible when I realized he was playing our fight song, and was at the tail-end of making some douchy comment about mvictors and how they never got along. Did anyone happen to hear that and know what the context of the discussion was?

Yeah, I was listening to him. He was saying that mzone.com was shutting down. He didn't say much else. The whole thing was about a minute long. He talked about how he likes blogs. Blah, blah, blah..

We never really got along.

But he was probably talking about M Zone - I've got the audio of Cowherd's comments and some of the background here:

I got an email from the former M Zone webmaster "Yost", who got a chuckle out of the fact that he's clearly, many moons after the whole incident, still inside Cowherd's head.

I was watching him the other day and he was talking about Mike Vick. He made the comment that fighting dogs was a worse crime than a drunk driver killing someone. His reasoning behind this is that it comes down to mindset. He went on to say that if you were to compare a child molester to a drunk driver you would have a bigger problem with the child molester (obviously). Well according to him Vick must have the same mentallity as a molester. The fact that Vick never touched a kid appearantly does not matter to this douche bag. I can't believe they pay him for that ridiculous drivel that falls out of his mouth.

Lete me preface by saying that I don't listen to Cowherd, and all I hear about him confirms that I shouldn't.

That said, I think you're missing the point. His point is that a drunk driver doesn't intend to harm someone. A drunk driver is making a stupid, horrible decision that may harm someone else.

Making two dogs fight, or, to his analogy, molesting a child, requires a desire and willingness to harm another being. Thus, the difference in the mindsets.

agreed Vick must have the mindset to cause harm to another being, but let's face facts the guy never touched a kid (that we know of) all he did was fight dogs. Illegal, yes morally wrong, yes as bad as touhing a kid, not even in the same category. It is still legal to fight roosters in Oklahoma and I think a few other states as well. Would I do it, no, do I agree with it, no, but let's not trun this into something bigger than it is. Vick was mean to dogs and did some unethical things, but did not involve any kids or even any harm to adults. He did a year (or whatever it was) in the pen for a crime that if it were someone else would only have had to pay a few fines. PETA got involved in it and it was all over the news so they knew they had to make an example out of him.

the man. Him, along with Steve Zaban on FSR, bring joy to my life every day. So what he's not always right a hundred percent of the time. But in 4 hours of speaking you never mess up? Plus he supports the Blue and disses them whenever needed action is needed. And those who can't take criticism, c'mon!

I don't really have a dog in this fight (whoops - bad analogy), but I've always found the name "Colin Cowherd" to be kind of funny.
