Coaches

I was a huge RR supporter. Over the last few weeks I've become indifferent. I obviously want him to succeed, but I am no longer certain that he will succeed or that he will be given the time to succeed. Let's assume we finish 5-7. Do we unofficially talk to someone like Brian Kelly to see if he'd take the job? I don't think RR deserves to be let go, but I don't see us being much better next year. I think Kelly is a great coach, but I guess RR was great in the Big East too. We'd already have the types players he uses. Will anyone good have a contact over after 2010? And the big question if this doesn't work out-will we go back to a pro-style offense or will we run the spread? Unless we could get Kelly, I hope we go back to pro-style. This is obviously purely speculative. I hope RR and UM go 13-0 next year, but I don't think we will be better than 6-6 or 7-5. Thoughts on potential coaches? Who would we have a chance at and who do you want?

When the people who have taken snaps for your program are a redshirt freshman, a former walk-on, and two true freshmen, you cannot expect a great deal of success. Talking about potential coaches is a waste of time and it's counterproductive. Don't fuel the fire.
