Cleveland Once A Week Radio Personality Fired - Accused Peppers of Drug Use

Submitted by Stay.Classy.An… on

Sabrina Parr during her "participation" of a broadcast on ESPN 850 in Cleveland accused Peppers of being on the "lean and molly" and that he's "high all the time". The YouTube link to the show with said statements is included within the article.

The best part is when she claims to have been "misquoted" on Twitter, to which another person responds "you can't be misquoted on the radio, it's literally your own voice saying those words".

Lean = Promethazine couh syrup mixed with pop or juice.

Molly = Purest form of MDMA or Ecstacy

EDIT: Fixed a few spelling errors

EDIT EDIT: Changed the title to reflect Ms. Parr's accurate job title and affliation with said broadcast as the MGoCommunity can be, as my students put it "petty".

Julius Peppers wasn't mentioned.  However:

  • "Lean" is more commonly known as "Drank" (you may recall me from Sippin' on Purple)
  • Drank was mentioned by the "reporter" as one of Jabrill Peppers's preferred substances*
  • You can make Drank by mixing cough syrup with an Orange Julius
  • Orange is one of the colors on the Browns' jerseys

So I think I see where you were headed, and how it's all connected!

*Recklessly, and without evidence.

I greatly appreciate being skewered for my stupidity in such a creative way. Believe it or not I stared at Julius Peppere after I typed it and said to myself - something is wrong here - still couldn't figure out what it was. I'm way to young to be having senior moments.

Anyone who is in DC this week is entitled to be a bit addled!  Assuming your user name is accurate, you have plenty of cover.

Without straying into the politics of it, it's fair to say it's been a ... busy week in our nation's capitol.

That made me laugh. I may have to steal it (or a variant of it) on those occasions when I can't hold myself back from commenting on something on Mgoblog that might cross into that topic that shall not be discussed on Mgoblog.

She tried to out Jemele Hill Jemele Hill.  Never ever try to out Jemele Hill Jemele Hill!

Glad to see this dope suffer for her stupidity.  Hopefully she learns a lesson from this, and changes her approach.  ("I was misquoted" on radio is just ... wow.)

only leads to enhanced standing/recognition.  In pop culture, unless your statements are about very specific taboo things, this kind of publicity typically enhances the person's public profile.  Sad, but that is where we are at.   Merica!

This stuff wouldn't happen.  Its just unlogical hate from OSU fans.  Living in Cbus its really funny to hear Browns fans losing their minds over this.

I listen to Riz every morning, he is first and foremost a BROWNS fan regardless of where the player came from.  He was a huge proponent of drafting Peppers.

Sabrina is a bit player on the show, yesterday was the first time I had heard her on the air in months.

This wasnt something where there was a media firestorm and they were forced to fire her.  It happened yesterday, and Riz fired her the following morning.

Riz's sidekick on the show also hates Ohio State, the problem is he's the biggest douchebag on the planet and I hate him.

If she wasn't fired for her wild accusations, it would almost certainly be for her stupidity and incompetence afterwards. How in the hell can you be misquoted on the radio when it is literally you saying those words into the microphone for everyone to hear? Nothing more than a pathetic attempt to save her job.

She deserved to be fired, and will probably be out of a job for a while. How deliciously ironic that she tries to ruin someone else's career but ends up ruining her's instead. Zero fucks given for her and her dilemma.
