Cleaves arrested for drunk driving
Is this RCMB? There sure seems to be alot of MSU articles lately; maybe I'm typing in the wrong URL....
I was thinking the same thing earlier. Normally this doesn't happen until right before the season starts.
If he had eligibility left (and played football) you can be damn sure Dantonio would have him suiting up in September.
Sparty alum jealous that football team has all the fun, decides to join them in their temporary residence. University applauds alums efforts to bond with football team. Way to go sparty!
Was he by any chance, with Charles Rogers?
Kind of a rough day for the MSU faithful.
Bob Probert could do this with one glove tied behind is back.
sparty nooooo.11!!!!!
I find it funny how he ditched the local radio show here in Virginia two days in a row and a couple of days later he gets a DUI.
Just sayin. I beat one of those and so could he.
Kinda OT but were there laws in place prohibiting riding your horse while intoxicated? Maybe that is why the Clanton's and the Earp's walked to the OK Corral

"He drove because of an emergency" apparently involving his son...
I am sure what happened was as follows:
Mateen: "Son, go get me a beer"
Son: "Dad, there is no more Natural Light"
Mateen: "Son, this is an emergency, I need to drive to the local equivalent of Kroger"
Son: "Okay, but dad, you have had 14 Natty Light"
Mateen: "No problem, son, it's an emergency and I'm MSU alumni, we do this sort of thing all the time.
Son: "Whatever you say".

The alleged emergency was that Mateen feared Mt. Morris was erupting

I never like to hear something like this. It would be great if Mateen could be a positive role model for the kids in Flint.

Of course there are lots of MSU threads here. That's because they are filling the police blotters at a record pace for March. This gives a whole 'nother meaning to "March Madness."
