Michigan's official Motivation Speaker??

Maybe when he is wokring for ESPN or NFL Network he will miss fotball and want to come back as a coach. Habaugh is going to say 'sure' and he is going to be our Defensive Back/Wide Reciever/Speical Team/Motivation Speaker coach.

Hall of Fame players who have made a lot of money and have a media presence like Woodson almost never get into coaching. Coaching is a grind. Most of those guys end up as analysts on TV, work in upper management/player personnel, or stay happily retired away from the game.

Although it probably is a stretch, pro athletes, especially those of Woodson's caliber, typically have competitive flares that your average joes probably can't even wrap their heads around. So who knows, it could turn out that Charles ends up really missing that aspect of the game, thus fueling some desire within him to get into coaching.

“We get so consumed with plays and X's and O's that sometimes you have to take a step away and say, ‘What am I doing? What’s the most important part of this puzzle?’ I talk to guys about that all the time. Because of what Charles Woodson did for me, I am obligated to pay that forward. Guys have seen what I’ve been through -- failures, success -- and I have a lot of experience that it’d be wrong of me not to share with everybody.”

Woodson is indeed one of the best, but I think this is also what the best do - they coach, even if it is informally. Like others have said, an actual coaching position for someone like Charles Woodson seems unlikely, but as a mentor / informal coach, I assume he's been part of a few of these moments already and will be part of many more.

There are some truly great people in the NFL, and Woodson was one of them. Sounds like Crosby is a great guy too. It's a good reminder. Go Woodson (he ends his speeches with "go Blue", and fair is fair).
