Chaos in the B1G East

Submitted by chunkums on

As long as Iowa keeps doing what they're doing and MSU pulls up the big upset, we'll have:

MSU with one loss in the B1G

OSU with one loss in the B1G

PSU with two losses in the B1G

UM with two losses in the B1G

However...

MSU and OSU still have to play each other

UM still has to play OSU

Bizarre and unlikely scenario, but what happens in the event of a 4-way tie?

We lose all the tiebreakers because both losses are in division and against the teams we would be tied with in a 4 way tie.  Can only win the division is msu and psu both get 3 losses.

Looks like you are right. Would still need psu to lose again though since we lose in 4 way tie scenarios.

(b)    If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 8 will be followed until a determination is made.  If only two teams remain tied after any step (or sub-step), the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative. If three or more teams remain tied after any step, move to next step in tiebreaker with remaining tied teams.

1.    The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.

The B1G gets shut out of the playoffs (assuming the east beats the west in the championship game).

Bigly yuge

Lol MSU could win the big ten with a roster of 1 stars. This shit is ridiculous. I hate Dantonio but he does way more with way less. Idk how he motivates his team but he does it better than anyone. His teams consistently beat teams that are much more talented. I'm tired of it.
