Channing Stribling Question

Submitted by MGoVoldemort on

I was under the impression that Channing Stribbling was going to receive a considerable ratings bump? But if you go to this page on Rivals, he's still listed as a 2 star. There's an actual tweet by Mike Farrell indicating that he would receive a bump up from 2 stars.

Stribling will be higher than a two @culleradam@rivalsmike Also there has to be no way Channing Stribling stays a 2 star, right?

Have they not completed ranking changes outside of the Top 250?

My first car was a Burgandy 1968 Pontiac Catalina 4 Door with a 400 engine.  I put air shocks, mag wheels, about 200 yards of white pinstriping on it and then flipped the air cleaner upside down to make it sound louder.  Baaaaaadaaaaaas ride.

That car must've weighed close to 5,000 pounds.

I don't exactly recall all the specs of it, but I had a 78 volkswagon rabbit as my first car (in 1990 so it was a bit of an antique...lol). It was red and we called it the red baron and sliced a little line in the tint on the back windows when we would pass anyone to keep track off the poor suckers we shot down.

It was a great car for a 16 year old and my Dad only bought it for me so I wouldn't reck his vehicles so it was a win win for both of us. It was a 4 speed and once it got going it would go, but it was nothing special in that department. I still miss that old beast!

Only car I know of to lose a drag race with the Chevette my buddy was stuck driving in HS. (Early 80's) It was not only slow, but a true chick magnet too. /s

In fairness to the car, it did get decent mileage which was nice for broke HS kids and it was very reliable (a plus for my parents).

My first car was a "lightly used" 1991 Lumina coups - sky blue with grey cloth seats and black trim - which had the 3.1 L V6 and a 5-speed manual transmission on which only 4 of the speeds would not cause a stall. It was also obviously manufactured during the year-long experiment with no primer in the paint shop at the plant where it was made, so I only know it was sky blue from the paint that was left when I happened upon it.

You had a coupe that was slow as hell but looked like it was a little sporty and had some giddiyap.

My first car was an '89 LeSabre with the GM 3.7L V6 in it. With a blue vinyl top. Plush cloth interior. Not only did it LOOK like it was owned by my Grandmother. It actually was. But for being a Geriatric mobile, that thing could flat out move. I always wanted to get hold of a turbo and turn it into an after-market T-Type. Most of the engine was the same as in a Regal Grand National.

Also had a question about Stribling.  Obviously he's not a candidate to decommit or anything but is his committment so strong that no others schools have even bothered to offer? I just figured that since he blew up this summer/senior season, he would get some offers from atleast local schools (UNC, UT, UVA etc.).  Just wondering what the deal is
