Chance to Get Zettel if Bradley Leaves?

Submitted by detrocks on

Now that the Mike Haywood era has come and gone at Pitt, it looks like Tom Bradley is getting a long look as a potential replacement. Given that it looks like PSU was recruiting Anthony Zettel on defense, if Bradley goes and takes staff with him, what's the likelihood that Zettel switches and goes Blue?

My assumption is that we were second on his list, so if:   (a) his defensive coordinator and maybe his position coach leave PSU to go to Pitt and (b) our coaching situation is sorted out, do we think he is 40% likely to change to Blue?   60%?   80%?

I realize that this is potentially meaningless speculation based on likely unfounded rumors, but I figured, what the hell?   Isn't that what we're doing today?

If nothing else, at least it doesn't have CC in front of it.

Who knows. Its hard for me to think about recruiting when we don't know who are coach will be tomorrow; or if we will even have a coach by tomorrow. I don't see us poaching anyone's recruits at the moment.

Is this a post about Bradley as the next coach for UM?

If not, then delete it.  There is no room at MGoBlog for recruiting news or talk of actual football games.

(But to address the OP -- I hope so.  With whatever coaches at UM and PSU, he grew up a UofM fan.  A change in heart is probably a 49% chance no matter the coaching situations)

Honestly I want to go back to the day where I just look at the recruiting rankings at the end of the year to see who we got and call it good. This recruiting BS is just maddening. I don't mean that as offense to you, OP. Just that it is just stressful following every whim of these kids.

Lord knows that I don't have the will to avoid TomVH posts though. Dammit.

The B10 is a mess. OSU rocked by Tatt Gate, UM mired in mediocrity, IA looking like a Midwest drug distributorship, 2-5 (0-3 against the SEC) so far this year in bowl games with another loss to the SEC possible tonight, PSU perenially on the brink of a coaching crisis. At least we have a fancy new logo!
